Fallout 4 crashing in/ around financial district

so i've played fallout 4 since release without issue (apart from performance but who hasn't battled with that) but in the last week or so whenever i try to travel to the financial district or that part of boston the game will crash. fast travelling or walking there it crashes. i've reinstalled the game, started a new save and disabled all the mods and the game continues to crash and show no error report or anything. not sure what to do, anyone else experience this issue? making the game less playable unfortunately and there's a quest i can't access because of it.

Validated the files? Sometimes during installation or gameplay some files get either corrupted or are missing.
(I never had to battle with performance since Fallout 4 worked perfectly out of the box for me and still works so)

it's fine now, one of the mods wasn't updated properly when downloaded which led it to CTD. fixed now though :)

Gonna necro the ♥♥♥♥ out of this cuz I'm having the same issue. What mod was causing the problem?

it was over two years ago so i'm sure it's not relevent now but the mod in question was either: 'darker nights', or 'Vivid Fallout - Landscapes - Textures in HD - ORIGINAL SIZE - LOWER RESOLUTION' mods. most likely a mod needs updating or reinstalling. other than that it's pretty vague and open to all sorts of issues that are hard to narrow without some testing on your end.
