Over Encumbered Cheat/Non-Cheat
Ok some tips on not having so much in your bag...

For cheaters, use TGM, but even then if you get too much stuff, weapons and armor have more data, your game may CTD, so if you get a lot of stuff, upgrade things with mod attachments then get a whole lot more loot...

For non-cheaters, same as above but your main carry count maxes out faster...

or just max out Strong Back which allows you to Fast Travel while over encumbered, meaning you can always just fast travel to sanctuary and drop everything off before returning.

I just did the maxed out Strong Back thing last night. There is a certain place where the player will eventually find themself (part of the main questline) where you will be trapped if you are over-encumbered. The only way out is fast-travel. It took me nearly thirty minutes to empty out my backpack and verify this.

Rather than going through that a second time, I decided to give myself max Strong Back. That not only permits fast-travel while over-encumbered, it negates any effects of weight on your movement. I'm still trying to learn how to move without knocking things over and zipping across the room when trying to take a single step.

I'm carrying about 20k pounds of gear. There are no problems with the game handling it. I can repair and modify things as I like, pick up more gear, sell the stuff I don't need, etc.

Pro tip - Don't spend all of your perk points as soon as you get them. Save them up and use them when you run into a problem. Need more charisma to pass a dialogue check? No problem. Need to fast-travel to continue on with the game, no problem. Doing this gives you enormous power to solve your own problems.

This..... Anyway, why do you feel the need to lug everything back? It's not as I've theres much to spend your caps on even later game. I now only scavenge a few items and legendary gear although I got to about level 70 before I realised how pointless it all is, currently level 80.

If you are investing in settlements then there are better ways to get caps with minimum input.

with mods like weapon craft, any mod any weapon, legendary craft, armor craft, ammo craft etc, junk has a lot more meaning to the game.

the OP just worded things a bit confusing. either use tgm to get back to base or invest in strong back.

i guess non vanilla players could also use -

player.modav carryweight

There is a bug abuse that lets you command your companion to pick stuff up even if he is overweight. Easiest way to do this is throw everything in a container and command your merc to get the stuff from it. After the merc is overweight, they will only take one item (or one stack of items) at a time.

For cheaters, use TGM
tgm enables god mode, which reduces combat to a mere technicality, removes carry weight restriction, etc.

I know that is hard to understand, but it is possible to dislike parts of the game like the mindless grinding for materials.
Your "advice" amounts to little more than "just stop playing entirely if there is any part you don't like".

If you actually do want to give advice you should be telling people to use something like "player.modav carryweight 500" to fix the annoying parts of the game without ruining everything
Your game must be really borked if it'll CTD by having too much in your inventory... Since I just cancelled most supply lines I've been collecting materials from all my settlements and have been lugging them about the commonwealth with no problems, and we're talking about 35k of weight in my pocket... With strongback, of course.

But still, if you want to give a good tip that's basically what fast travelling does: enter COC 'placename" in the console, for instance you want to fast travel to Sanctuary it'd be "coc sanctuaryext"... and yes, this will work even in interior cells.

If you don't know the cellname typing help "locations name" 4 cell
And bob's yer uncle...
