What is Sensor Array X+?

I was decking out a helmet for Danse to find out if he gets strength bonus for having all BoS paint when I found an attachment at the beach settlement north of the airport called Sensor Array X+ but I can't find anything online mentioning this...any clue as to what this is?

The sensor array modifies a power armor helmet and increases Perception by 2. Raider, T-45, T-51, T-60 and X-01 power armor can be fitted with the sensor array, and requires Rank 3 of Science! to upgrade.

Normally you'd only get that if you bought a sensor array from Proctor Teagan. Did you actually get it as a drop from a container or enemy?!

It's special in that it costs no resources, i.e. you could attach it to multiple power armor helmets at no cost.

no mods and I don't think I purchased any mods from Teagan but I was looting a bunch of stuff looking for rubber and fiberglass

i've gotten several weapon mods that are "X+" and im playing on PS4, was wondering if they had some hidden thing as i think they are residual from modifying a unique legendary weapon/armor/item

Yea found that sensor array myself, it was just sitting on top of a barrel at that same settlement.

Well good to know it is not like the case of the disappearing cannon balls, picked those 5 up from by Fort Strong they added weight to my character but can not be found anywhere in my inventory. Guess I just have an iron balls perk now which is odd because my character is female.

Yeah, the only difference it had was I couldn't make it, only attach it, otherwise the exact same.

I have some x+ mods for laser weapons.

1) Not from Teagan as I've yet to make contact with him with this char
2) Not from Atomcats for the same reason

Could be from Danses quest reward though. I can think of nothing else.
