Commando=Any weapon that has the full auto on.
Gunslinger=Any weapon that is a single shot pistol(Or just a pistol.i dont remember.......busy with a unarmed character right now)
Demolitions Expert=Any weapon dealing explosive damage.(FACT:The Explosive Pre-fix on legendary weapons go with this perk too ALONGSIDE thier original Perk.)
Rifleman=Single shot rifles that are not pistols.
2. Certain base types (fist weapons like knuckles and Power Fists) => Unarmed
3. Certain base types (other melee weapons) => Melee
4. Full-automatic, non-heavy guns => Commando
5. Non-full-automatic non-heavy gun, with any 'stock' => Rifleman
6. Non-full-automatic non-heavy gun, with any 'grip' => Gunslinger
Does this mean that Laserrifles fall under Rifleman as well?
Likewise, whether a laser rifle goes under Rifleman or Commando depends upon the barrel, because that's what determines whether a laser rifle is fully automatic. OTOH, if you gave it a sniper barrel instead of an automatic barrel of some sort but changed the stock to a pistol grip, it'd fall under Gunslinger.
An automatic pipe pistol will be under Commando, and likewise an SMG will be (as, IIRC, there is no mod to make an SMG anything but fully automatic).
I'll probably take the Rifleman perks, but I want to make sure that I only use the correct weapons. (Full auto so far seems horribly inaccurate & expensive.)
You could, of course, rename it; and if it's a unique weapon you can check the receiver (for most non-energy weapons) or barrel (for most energy weapons).
