Would it work on a GTX 560 1GB?

I've bought the game, well aware that it requires 2GB of VRAM, but I wanted a Pipboy while it was still possible to get one.
So I haven't installed the game yet, however it's quite possible that the minimum requirement isn't really true, and the game runs with 1GB, maybe with a lot of texture swapping. Anyone here running it on an old graphic card?

It's possible, I think I've seen others with this configuration. You'll want to lower all relevant settings - turn off trilinear filtering, lower the texture resolution as much as possible, running in lower resolution, etc.

So far only GTA5 has forced me to lower a lot of details because of the memory limit, however the game runs very smoothly.
