Should I finish the main quest before Brotherhood of Steel / Railroad??
I firstly ask that you please keep this thread spoiler-free.
At this point in the game this is what I've done:

-Main quest: went to the glowing sea
-Railroad: secured university point
-Brotherhood of steel: just got aboard the ship

In the main quest, I will have to enter the institute at some point, and since both the brotherhood and the railroad want to destroy it it seems logical to me that I first rescue shaun and then take the fight on the institute, but I was told that this would inactive some important quests. Is this true?

I know also that at some point of the game you are forced to choose between the factions you are part of. So my question is this: how much will affect my game finishing the main quests firstly???

All I know is what I wrote here so please don't spoil me anything crucial!

I think you should just do that next quest to enter the institute, I don't believe that interferes with any other quests and it might change your plans. It's the last "main quest" in the game. From there on you do faction quests toward your chosen ending, the "point of no return" is a bit down the line in each faction story line and the game warns you when you are about to make things bad with the other factions.

I have this same question spoiler alert i have the courser chip decoded and need to talk to Vergil again to enter institute. However i am also at the point to board the prywden but idk which one to do first because im afraid ill miss something or screw up the main quest and or bos faction quest

The game will warn you if you have reach the point of no return which means you have to choose a side, but you could just go do other quest or save the game at that point and come back to do it later.

You can do the side quests of all factions as much as you want before you choose sides. The BoS doesn't care if you do side quests for the railroad and vice versa. And the minutemen don't care if you hang BoS flags at the settlements you take for them. Not so sure about institute quests like synth retention. That one might make you side with them.
