Sneak/Crouching bug - Blurred vision
Hi all,

When I go into sneak mode (hit Ctrl) the vision on the left and right goes bright and blurry like when being hit by enemy fire. It goes away when I stand back up. It's not game-breaking but it is very annoying and leads me to almost never sneak.

Anyone else get this? Any solutions? Thank you.

You took the "Night Person" perk. Some dumbass thought it would be a good idea to give you automatic night vision even if you're in an extremely well-lit space. You'll need to remove the perk.

I'll have to keep this in mind making decisions down the line. It wasn't becasue of Chameleon armor?

You might be seeing the "imagespace transition" that occurs when you become invisible, that's different than what the OP was seeing. But be aware that there are a couple glitches with the Chameleon effect.

I am stuck with permanent nightvision, i used a nv-scope and broke my game with it. It is also in the save files so restart is no option either. I read about a console command, but hesitant to use that. First i thought it was chem withdrawal so i traveled back for cure, now my autosaves have that bug.

Bugs creeping into save files and game breaking perks, Bethesda is consistent atleast... And ofcourse i had to learn removing fusion core the hard way, never seen that armor again it just vanished from Sanctuary, no corpse waring it to be found :(.

That's why I asked. I found a real good chameleon piece of armor a couple of days ago, used it for about 30 seconds. I didn't like the effect it did to the screen and while not moving.

I was curious if the Night Person perk had the same effect.

Thanks.

The console command fixed it for me. Why are you hesitant to use it?

Some people are weary of the console because in previous games using it would "invalidate the game session." Steam would stop tracking it and you would be unable to gain achievements until the game was restarted.

Bethesda games haven't had that since New Vegas.

So, not since the very last game in this series....

Ummm, There was this little game called Skyrim that didn't have it either.

I'm constantly accidentally opening up the console when I'm hitting escape and tab to back out of the menus and I've never lost the ability to get achievements

Skyrim is not a game in the Fallout series.

For the record, I can confirm that touching the console will break absolutely nothing (except for any game-breaking commands you intentionally type). I typed in the console command to reveal all waypoints, and it gave me an achievement. Derp.
