Mad Max Roleplay
So I got my SPECIAL and future perks figuered out, gear as well. Two things I'm undecided on.

First, would Max use chems?
Second, what freaking hat or head gear do I wear, can't decide? So far I have road goggles and a green bandana.

I think he would use stuff like Stimpacks, RadX, Radaway...but not any of the others..

The full leather outfit with leather accessories is a givin....not really sure about a hat/head gear..he never really wore any. Maybe bandana to cover his face during storms and such..

The sawed off double barrel shotgun for weapon for sure.

Lone Wanderer perk is a givin to..and perks for Dog.

How can you roleplay mad max in a game without vehicles?
Imanoldcoot Jan 1, 2016 @ 12:09pm

He often looses his vehicle, maybe I'll call it Beyond the Thunderdome Max. After he breaks the deal and has to face the wheel. Problem?

Yeah road leather, studry leather right arm, leather right leg, leather chest, studry metal left leg(to simulate the splint/brace). All the leather is shadowed, although I wish I could make it a little more faded the road leathers look worn like in Road Warrior but the shadowed leather looks like MPF uniform in Mad Max. Bandana's he wore on a few occasions and similar goggles I believe.

Sawed off, .44 with standard barrel to minic a .375 and a hunting rifle with a long barrel and full stock. I'm also going for the intimidation perks, undecided if I'll go for animal intimidation perk.

For chem's I'm thinking the same thing. Survival chems but no buff chems.

Sadly I have not heard good things about that game so I'll wait a while.

Yeah good point

Aren't long fights on the run through the desert, aboard of heavily customized-weaponized vehicles the essence of mad max?

In the first 3 movies those scenes were just the climax of the movie and a fairly short part of them, usually towards the end. The first movie had a few smaller duel like battles. Not so much a long run.

The first and third Mad Max movies are irrelevant when it comes to the defining apocalyptic fiction we all know and love. When a game like Fallout throws in a refrence or bases something off of Mad Max, it's to Road Warrior. Not the first one or Beyond Thunderdome..

Fury Road and Road Warrior are the only ones that are good and relevant in those regards.

I don't really care what the game refrences or what you think is good.

And have a good day. Unless you'd like to actually contribute with an answer to either of my actual questions.

He did have that bomb rigged to his car in the Road Warrior, so you could maybe make a case for him having some mechanical and explosive skills... He was a cop, so unarmed and melee weapons as well as pistols as well...

You could make the case for scavenging perks as well.

I'm not sure he has all that high a charsima but I suppose he was able to pull people together a couple times.

He'd probably also have a pretty high toughness...he seems to be walking around with serious injuries all the time...

I will actually invest in unarmed as he shows he is a capable fighter on multiple occasions, but other than the fight with Blaster, I don't think I've seen him use any sort of weapon. The charisma thing I was on the fence about. I was thinking of giving him fairly low charisma and just using console for the intimidation perk(just cause that scene is memorable) but like you say he does pull people together.
Edit:I'm actually thinking of not carrying shotgun shells once I have the intimidation perk
