Lately, I've been working on trying to build up (and overpopulate) every settlement in the game.
Setting up a baseline of at least 20 food/water/beds and as many turrets as needed, then constructing a Recruitment Beacon.
I finished the game with the Minutemen, but progressed high enough in the BoS to become a Paladin (then used console to trigger the 'final' BoS mission that led to my promotion to Sentinel).
In addition to setting up my settlements, anytime I find a new Minutemen Checkpoint (those things you always have to help defend when you get close), I've been using the console to spawn in 1-2 BoS knights.
Also flavored up my Castle with BoS troops and a parked Vertibird -- and added a few Minutemen to the Boston Airport / Prydwen.
This is all fun just for fun though, nothing really important happening until some DLC comes out.
