Saving a copy of built structure.
So I've built a few things in Sanctuary Hills now, it's starting to look like a nice village, and I was curious if there was a way of saving copies of things you've made to be used again. As far as I know there isn't but I wasn't sure if people had found a way using the console or whether I've missed something.

Thanks :)

nope, there is no way to save a custom 'prefab'

I wish we could, like in Kerbal, but unfortunately, no... pity, I'd like to save and copy my defence towers rather than rebuild them over and over.

That's a shame, hopefully it'll be something they implement at a later date

maybe there is console command for that?

That would actually be a pretty awesome function; in the vanilla metal shacks you can throw together (if I remember right) a wall, a hallway, and a hallway door section with a door, two small beds, some shelving, a light source, end table, and carpet.

That gives you a stackable, snappable two-settler dorm room... if I could copy that and paste it, or develop concrete or barn part versions, you bet I'd spam the heck out of some settlements with it. I'd rather build an 'apartment block' like that than what I've ended up doing instead, big barracks-style sleeping areas with rows of beds.

It'd be even more awesome if I could "clone" my robot creations....

EDIT: Yeah, this is a block of 6 'units', upper left in the big photo
