Can't run my game in 1920 x 1080
See title, also can't see the lockpicking thing.
Is there a way I can play in 1920 x 1080 fullscreen?

Mods?
Did you change the FOV via .INI ?
Did you load another persons save to get their "FACE" on your character?

Lots of people play at that resolution. Now, there is a guide here somewhere to fix the lockpick interface, but it's always shown alright on my screen.

Sounds like maybe your graphics driver has somehow mistakenly applied DSR (Dynamic Super Resolution) and your monitor can not handle it.
What graphics card do you have?
Samson Dec 31, 2015 @ 1:13am
Just installed it yesterday no mods. went to pick a lock in sanctury under the bed and I couldn't see anything.
Graphics card is AMD Radeon R7 200 ( I think)

Your problem maybe because the game resolution and your desktop resolution do not match.
if the game resolution not the same with your usually desktop resolution, change it manually in the Fallout4prefs.ini
Look for this line
iSize H=768
iSize W=1360

and change to your desktop resolution.

Ok I will try that thanks. Will that also solve the steam interface looking like it is in 600x800 when I use it in game?

Ok now it sounds like you may not even have a real graphics driver installed and your only using the windows default driver. Since you do not know exactly what graphics card you have go here http://support.amd.com/en-us/download and use the automatically detect option and install the driver catylast driver it recommends.
Give that a try and see if things improve.

Thanks for the help.
I managed to fix it through changing the ini file resolution. The problem was my desktop won't set to 1080x1920 and so fallout couldn't. my desktop is running at 1200 x 1600 ( I think) so I set fallout to this, however lockpicking still didn't work.
I then took 1 pixel off (1199 x 1599) and it is working fine, steam interface is fine, all solved. Only thing is my windows task bar is visible but that is no worries.
Thanks everyone.

Did you mean 1600 x 1200. That is a 4:3 aspect ratio and 1920 x 1080 is a 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio and hence the problem. Very odd the game would even give you that choice as it should not have even been listed.

As for your other issue with lockpicking and such I wonder if one of the the .ini does not have some line having to deal with wide screen and that is still present. Just looked and all I see that looks like anything is this line that was at the bottom of the fallout4pref.ini. uLastAspectRatio=1
Not sure if that would be of any use though. Does sound like something is stil borked with yuor aspect ratio though.

Also when was the last time your graphics driver was updated, might be a graphics driver issue although I doubt it but stil good to have a updated driver if it is not.

I will check the updates now, but the problem is with my pc not wanting to run 1080 x1920 (my screens prefered) but instead likes 1200x 1600.
Either way sorted through the ini under iSize h= line and w=
saw someothers had the issue with lockpicking and altering by -1 pixel fixed for them, also did for me

Those 2 resolutions should not be on the same monitor together though. one is 16:9 widescreen and the other 4:3. If your monitors native resolution is 1920x1080 it should not be able to do 1600x1200. What make and model is your monitor?

LG Flatron E2240

Yea that is supposed to be a 16:9 widescreen with 1920x1080 max resolution. One thing I saw in the specs on LG site is "4:3 in Wide". This is about the only resonable description I can find on that and it's not telling much. 4:3 in Wide
"With the 4:3 in Wide Function, you can say goodbye to distorted images. Enjoy true widescreen images, without stretching or distortion."

Here is a link to the manual for that monitor. http://www.lg.com/uk/support-product/lg-E2240S-PN# It talks a bit about the wide screen function and how to go about checking/changing it.
You can even download a driver for the montitor itself there, not sure if that would help but your desktop should be running.

In this thread here someone talks about their monitor with that 4:3 wide function, it has a buttton to switch between 4:3 wide and 4:3.

One question does you desktop have black borders on the edges or no? If it does it is most likely set to 4:3 mode and not 4:3 wide(16:9)
