Dr. Duff was a disappointment
That woman from Science! Center in Diamond City. I expected her to give me quests like Moira Brown did. She only asked for a Bloatfly Gland, and done. Nothing more. Disappointed.

Yeah, I was disappointed too. When I first found her, I thought like you, that it would be a source of ever amusing quests.

There is an abundant selection of things that feel like they went to a point and stopped short of giving them the depth you were expecting. I expected the guy at the Combat Zone to send me on a collect monsters for a new arena quest line.

This game is full of unexplored potential and disappointment.

Agree, was hoping for a steamy threesome at least.

I beta ya, you could murder both of them, and noone in Diamond City would notice. Like when I murdered Paul for setting me up, and Darcy still goes to bed every night tramping over his corpse like he aint there.

Indeed, too many things seemed like forgotten to me, like they were going to add some specific quests but cancelled..

I too have to admit that I was disappointed that the science dame didn't
offer me more time burning side quest objectives with a chance of amusement.
That would have at least gave me the opportunity to say, no not gonna do it.

Just another dropped Bethesda ball.

Robot Downs! Can't let you place bets, go get a robot! You either quest for parts or quest for robots to have a stable of robots that you can upgrade and have the race and fight. Yes!

But no. They copy/pasta'd like 90% of everything. They said, hey here build something here, all of you build just lots of stupid crap that seems awesome but just make it a one syllable quest and we will have 400+hrs of ♥♥♥♥ to do. It will seem unifinished to real gamers but there aren't many left so we don't care about them, we care about density because it's a console shooter! Rememer quantity over quality, it just werkz!

There are a lot of locations and instances, that feel like they may have planned something for them, but scrapped the idea and just made it a basic kill zone, like combat zone, race track, or when you find a raider burying a friend and saying something like 'this S has to stop' and you expect to enter into some meaningful dialogue, but they just start shooting at you.

I mean come on, race track... I want to bet on robot races, maybe enter a robot in it, but no, I walk in there expecting something interesting and everything starts shooting.

Race track, and there are 2 locations with giddyup buttercup focus, like, a mission, to construct a racehorse robot, could have been fun...

Enter arena... Oh, at least they have a basic "arena" storyline area... Oh, it's just a shoot em up gallery plus a new character to explore the other shoot em up galleries with. It's like that everywhere you go in F4.

I hate to say it, but this game has a ton of missed opportunities. IDK, on one hand, Fallout 4 has a pretty detailed world almost in the vein of GTA (weather changes, attention to some pretty minor things that have them stand out, and how NPC's do their own thing in settlements almost making them feel like a GTA NPC) and on the other, quests have this massive build-up then fizzle out just when things start to get interesting. I'd say Fallout 4 has introduced a lot of great ideas I hope to see in the next Elder Scrolls and Fallout, but it's also dwarfed what I loved about previous entries as well.
