Irradiated 10mm pistol or 2-shot 10mm pistol?
I have both, but I'm not sure which one to fully upgrade.

Irradiated does 50 points of radiation damage, which is about twice as much as the best automatic mod for this gun.

Robots and ghouls are immune though, probably a couple of more enemy types as well.

So you're saying I should go with the irradiated one?

I'm just explaining what the affix does to help your decision :)

Irradiated is a bit situational, two shot is the better choice, but i would avoid upgrading it to an automatic, the recoil it adds without vats makes it a little harder to land headshots.

If you have nuclear chemist the irradiated one is even better because it will do 100 radiation damage.

Also radiation damage is great for fighting humans who use stimpacks since they cant heal fast the radiation damage.

But can you imagien the ammount of bullets it would shoot with a 2-shot automatic pistol? Crazy I tells ya.

Off topic, but the explosive mini-gun breaks the game, my vault-girl can attest to this:steamhappy:

If you shoot anything other than humans with the irradiated pistol, the only damage you'll do is bullet damage.

The double shot pistol will let you do DOUBLE DAMAGE on EVERYTHING

It wasn't a touch decision for me

Double shot does increase damage substantially, but it doesn't double it, its more on the order of +60% against a target with no DR and asuming every shot hits.

It is much more practical than irradiated, that acts against a second 'health' bar which starts with 1000 hit point, but irradiated is very useful when fighting up large level gaps.

So still 2-shot over irradiated overall? The one I can get the most use out of?

Both seems really good.
But...
The irradiated 10mm means ghouls can heal from it, I think.
And 2-shot means it's gonna do much more damage at the cost of accuracy.

If you have to choose between the two, the twoshot no question.
Irradiated may have some abusive uses, but its a niche ability that won't have widespread use.
