Do you actually have the parts needed for the repairs? You can't just magically "heal" it back up to full health. Depending on the body part, you will need Steel and various electronic components.
I know mmy problem is the helmet is in my inventory and cant even get repaired it doesnt show up to be repaired its condition is a 0 and it has 0 weight. I could repair all other parts of my armor on the station but not the helmet . If i get into the suit i cant equip the helmet (caus of 0/50 condition) On the workstation it doesent even show up (which makes sense since it is in my inventory not on the armor itself. But i cant get it back on the armor. Maybe now i made it more clear :) sorry for bad englando :D
Gratz on your opinion, but this is unhelpful and doesn't answer the question.
If you have all of the pieces in your backpack or on the power armour frame when you enter the repair bay, you will be told exactly what (and how much) you need to make the repairs. Those defective parts will remain greyed out until you gather up the required resources. Aluminum is generally the raw material that I run out of first.
It's exactly the same as doing weapon or armour modifications at a table. If you lack the materials or the skills, you don't get the option to make those upgrades. There is nothing "buggy" about it.
I carry multiple sets of old armour and keep them in working condition. When my companion gets her stuff blown to hell, I can swap out busted bits on the fly, no matter where we are.
Some folks insist it isn't their lack of actually reading that is the problem, and yet every single one of these types of threads resolves itself sooner or later. The authours rarely have enough consideration to come back and admit, "yeah, it was my bad all along".
Yes, and this one resolved when he said the item appeared in his list of PA pieces when he exited the game completely and started it again. I've had several things fixed by doing that (or a save/load), and have also run into issue with PA pieces not appearing in the transfer menu when they should, so I certainly find what he said believable.
