Bethesda always so slow on bugs?
I played all of the previous "fallouts" long after they were released. And, with Skyrim, to be honest, I can't remember. But, Fallout 4 has an amazing amount of bugs and broken things that need or should be fixed as a priority. I don't believe I am being unfair. Are they always so slow with the fixes? It has been well over a month now.

Well it's an humongous game, open world and all so I reckon patches aren't that easy to produce. Besides hey it's Christmas and New Year and what not so give them some time. Surely a patch is in the making :-)

Yes, and they often don't fix things like data entry errors (such as perk bugs) that can be fixed by a mod.

Compared to their previous games I have played, this one is the least buggy at release. Their worst were probably Daggerfall and Skyrim, especially on PS3. New Vegas was very buggy but that is an Obsidian game. Fallout 4 really is an improvement--not perfect, but a step in the right direction compared to many games blatantly released unfinished in recent years.

I played Skyrim on the PC and don't recall that many (bad) bugs. But, you are right. It is a huge game, almost staggering with the Settlers, stores, and work stations. And, as you say, it is the holidays. I'll stand corrected and pipe down. It is a great game, and I am playing it!

Fixing quite a lot of the bugs you will encounter/read about can easily be done with the SDK, i.e. without tapping into the engine/game code. On your latter point, they had plenty of time to release said fixes before Christmas in the first place, but even imagining if this game had actually been released at the very beginning of the Holidays season, I'm sure you'll agree there is simply no justifying a bad product based on your release window.

Which shows how little they value both their customers and their own work. The upside to this from their perspective is they evidently can get away with it, what with people's Stockholm syndrome and all.

It's a big game but most of the problems/bugs are hard to miss, just sayin.

Yes.. They made FO4 as a modding frame work. I refuse to believe that they 100% thought this game was complete. Bethesda knows how active their modding community is.

Because Beth relies on modders to fix their games. Look at Fallout 3

theres quite a few bugs that where in skyrim and are now present fo4, dropped weapons not despawning on cell reset and corpses not loading when you enter a cell
the bugged perks are the most annoying as they should be easy to fix and find, thankfully we have an excellent modding community
