Any way to move the workshop?
In the settlement created by the minutemen The workbench is out of place, I tried but I cant move it to were I put all the other stations. So is there a way or a way to build around it?

No, even with console moving the workshop wouldn't move the build site

The mod place everywhere can do it. I had to lift the one in Red Rocket so I could scrap the junk underneath.

I dunno, when it comes to moving workshops around I am VERY leery about doing it. I had a really bad experience with a couple workshops I tried forcing ownership on trying to work around bugged quests to get them.

Be careful moving the workbench for the settlement, as said place anywhere will allow you to move it, there are also a couple of mods on nexus that will allow it as well.

But one of the things I have found is that I used to be able to move the workbench in Sanctuary all the way down to near the water with no problems, now if I do so the workbench model vanishes from the game world sooner or later, I can still enter workshop mode holding down the appropriate key, but the actual model will vanish, and for that location I can no longer send settlers/companions or set up supply lines to that location.

That is the EXACT reason I dont ♥♥♥♥ with them. They disappear or never appear on the "owned list."

Old post but relevant info at least. I used to move stuff around with the console before using "place anywhere". Don't have the commamd on hand but there is one that will allow you to teleport unmovable objects like buses or the workbench.

is it in the way? Because once I was able to move the settlement workshop, I questioned "why bother?"
It's only there to touch once to claim a settlement. Then you never use it again.

All you need is console command. Click on workshop in console mode to get the RFID.
Type: RFID.moveto player
Make sure you are on a flat terrain looking even with the horizon, so the workbench won't spawn too crooked. Not perfect but it works.

This is how I do it...

1. Place down a scav station where you want workbench to be
2. Open console and click the scav station to get it's id
3. Click workbench in console and type 'moveto scavstation id'
4. Remove the scav station.

Nice, so you kinda use the scavanger station to orient and line it up as a placeholder.
