R6025 - pure virtual function call "Error" Is this your fault Bethesda or mine and if it's yours you've done it before.
I have been modding Fallout 4 using the Nexus , have over 71 of them now . I've reached level 44 , found the institute , I'm currently on the Instiitutionalized quest, and every time I end the game I get this runtime error related to Microsoft Visual librarly C++, I checked it out on the web and disovered it's a programming error. Now if it's from the mods or the game itself I have not ascertained ,perhaps , If I listed every mod I have installed someone could point out which one it might be that 's causing it Or if you have no mods and this is occuring than it must be Bethesda's fault....I've read one article that says it could be caused by the crafting workshop that you use to build settlements and only gets worse over time which means it starts to affect the game itself , starts as a warning and then the fun begins. Does anyone out there have this problem and has anyone solved it? I used the advice of one post on the microsoft website and repaired the Runtime Library in the Vcredit file both the X64 and X86 files , didn't get the warning for a little while and just a few minutes ago got it again when I quit the game.....any help will be appreciated. thank you.

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/125749 I found this from Microsoft on the web that explains it in IT programmerspeak but it isn't completely greek to me. Maybe someone can actually deciper it totally. I am no programmer.

I get that error at two spots in the game: At the start, when it tells you to press a button to continue; if I press any button on the keyboard the game crashed as soon as I enter the world. And after I quit the game.
It's been happening since before I used any mods, so there's probably nothing to do about it.

IF that is the case , BETHESDA has the answer because it happened in Fallout 3 and Skyrim too. Thank you for your post.

Started getting this a few days ago... It'd be nice if Bethesda actually worked on mitigating their non-stop screwups. I have no mods, I have not used any mods at any time, yet, this game seems capable of creating more new interesting bugs and glitches over time.

I also was receiving message about R6025 error when exiting from FO4 last few days. I went to Control Panel -> Programs and Features where found MS Visual C++ Redistributable - 2012 (x86 and x64) and 2013 (only x64). For each of them I did next: clicked with right mouse button, then chose Uninstall, but when Uninstall window appeared I chose Repair (MS VC++ Redistributable 2013 was repaired last and told that computer needs to be rebooted). And voila - error message disappeared. Maybe this will help you too.

I appreciate your post , However, you say you saw a 2013 version for the Visual Distributable library? and I quote in brackets ( only 2013) ? I do not have that , I only have 2012 for both. Are you certain it says 2013 for the X64 and if so is there also a 2013 as well for the X64? what OS are you using? Windows 10?

I don't know did problem appear due to VC++ Redistributable 2012 or 2013, just didn't check that... if there are no 2013 version for you try to repair both of 2012. And yes, I have VC++ Redistributable 2013 though don't know which game ot program installed it. I'm using Win7 x64 Pro.

I too am using Windows 7 but it's the Home Premium version. I have both repaired and uninstalled and then reinstalled both files. For me the R6205 error only occurs occasionally I suspect it is because of mods I have installed. I am not postive about that though.

If you don't get it you won't get your answer here , the purpose of this post is to solve a problem not your problem but ours. why not post this childish question of yours and see what you get in response from the community? Or maybe you can ask your mommy and daddy?

Hi all,

I started to get this error; when quitting to desktop from within the game at the memory den – Curies quest and the error only seems to happen when I am in good neighbour. I dont get the error if I fast travel some where else and quit to desktop from within the game.

I did find a work around while testing in good neighbour. If I quit to the main menu and then quit to desktop I dont get the error message – well worth giving this ago if you cant fix it using the reinstalling vc_redist64.exe method.

I did try the suggested technique reinstalling vc_redist64.exe but it didn't work.

Hope this helps. Let me know if this works for you lot.

Cheers

fyi - I also run fallout 4 modded 64 mods i think in total

This is what i do. Goto the following path:

steam/steamapps/common/fallout4/_commonredist/vcredist/2012

Then double click both files. It will reinstall. This will not affect your game, mods, saves, ect at all. It just re-installs those 2. It should fix the game, it does come back after a while if you install more and remove alot of mods. But doing it again will fix this.
