How do you add more GB to Fallout 4?
I'm not sure if my Fallout 4 has enough ram and I have some space left for it. How do I add more ram to it?
edit:
I get Ram and GB confused. qq

Err... what?? The game takes as much RAM as it needs. You cannot "allocate more RAM". Or do you mean upgrading your PC's RAM?

This makes me laugh.

ummm... Games dont have RAM, your computer does. If you are using a customizable PC, you can manually install more RAM (don't look for drivers) by buying it on the internet or at like a best buy, then opening up your computer and screwing it in and hooking it up. RAM is expensive tho

:) :) :)
EDIT: Sorry for OT, but your comment made me think of the beginning of The Fifth Element, when the professor is deciphering the drawing on the wall :)

You can make the game use more ram. Its easy here.

http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/332/?

Use either the 8gb or 16gb performance versions.

you can change the priority in task manager for a performance boost ,start the game , alt tab out , then open task manager rt click fallout4 .exe select "go to details " then in the new window rt cliclick on fallout4 .exe and set the priority to "high", above high and it will become very unstable ,
thats for win10 , 7 /8/8.1 should be the same

if you have a 64 bit os it should automatically use all your RAM, you only had to do the 3GB switch on 32bit OS to force the application to use more RAM

If your MOBO has free slots, buy more Ram, connect to the right slots. Then the game will be able to utilize more.

this will increase your load times ,and does more read/writes to the drive so if you have an ssd you might not want to use it ,
i tried it out and it does work good , framerate doesnt so much increase but it evens out and the stutter goes away , i ran it @10000 with 16gigs of ram and a 2 gig gpu ,
the shadow boost only lowers the shadows setting dynamically , so you can set shadows at ultra but your really running at medium or low , so just set the shadows to med , distance to med and dont bother with it

and dont make sport of the op for asking , none of you are tech genius's by your posts , makes you look very petty and childish when you berate someone for not knowing .
there are no foolish questions , only foolish answers

Augh, that does not change your question, really makes it more confusing. But I give up, others can continue, if they can. Sorry if I offended you, but it really is very funny.
