Never Ending Weapon Modding
It seems if you mod a never ending weapon you lose the never ending capability. It reverts back to requirung ammo to shoot. FYI

Neverending always requires ammo to shoot, it doesn't give infinite ammo.
The bonus is that the magazine size is unlimited

Well, neverending mod is glitched on gatling laser a in fact gives you infinite ammo. But you can't get it without console.

Throw all Neverending weapons in the ditch, way too OP and will ruin your game.
You willl realize this when you are you shooting things with a double barrelled shotgun as fast as you can pull the trigger... might as well type "god 1" in your console.

I'm pretty sure a neverending double barrel shotgun is the only case where it isn't basically a luxury and has actual practical results.

I'm always amazed at how many people consider the unlimited weapons "Broken" though. While we get so many people gushing about their explosive or wounding shotguns (double barrel and combat) and how they totally deserve a weapon that busted and no guys it's cool because it dropped from a radroach while playing survival!

But give a double barrel shotgun the ability to keep shooting entirely normall ammo? WHOA! Alert the balance police!

"I don't need to reload my double barrel? That's incredibly broken! Unlike my gun that lets me one shot kill a behemoth, that's worth bragging about in 200 seperate threads."

It's all what you enjoy I guess.
I revel in challenge and I'm no noob. I play hardcore.

Whereas a neverending, non-reloading weapon is ridiculous and has not downsides (Such as having to be more weight from carrying a box of ammo to supply it with), other weapons only have % bonuses.. and are stated as such.
eg. "Chance to stagger/freeze opponent"
"Causes 10 plasma damage" (From plasma infused bullets)

It's not the same sir.

might as well type "God mode" in the console if you want to play like that.
But hey, you paid for the game, play it as you want :D

Somehow I don't think that banning the use of a legendary effect that, even when considering its ability on its best possible weapon against the averages across the range of useful weapons for others, will, at best, rank between fifth and tenth in power under any reasonable examination is going to increase difficulty in any way shape or form...

Your writing off of % per hit bonuses, the king of which being kneecapper strongly suggests you have either never used it or never knew how to use it properly, and writing off damage per hit bonuses as not being the same is bizarre as an RoF bonus is more or less the same thing.....

So it does do that, just got one myself but the explosive combat shotgun needs a nerf for sure, dont even need to hit the guy and he dies.

Pretty much. Unless you're using a double-barrel, which is probably a stylistic choice once combat shotguns are available since those basically completely obsolete the double-barrel shotguns, you probably aren't emptying full magazines that often and many other legendary weapon prefixes will be more useful.

...especially yes, this being a Bethesda game, there are multiple character builds where you can stack multipliers to a ridiculous degree and faceroll, whether ranged or melee.
Urizen Dec 26, 2015 @ 9:39pm
You can always CHOOSE to be or not to be (using weapons you want or dont want). If you feel a weapon is broken, go use one that you feel is not. This is a single player game not an MMO. Balance and stuff is upto the player. So stop whining.

P.S : this is for all the poeple who wont stop complaining about balance. Bethesda please release the GECK so these guys can find peace.
