lol. Really. That's some poor optimization right there, for sures.
There's nothing to see in that spot other than the same trees like everywhere, and after turning off Godrays i could crank everything else back to Ultra / Max and it still runs smooth like butter. Only exception is shadow distance, for which i use Shadowboost with 3000/9000 range caps, 2.5sec delay and 56fps target.
May be worth to note that the Godrays look pretty sweet and are an integral part of the visuals, so after you turn them off you can clearly tell that there is something missing.
But they also create a thick fog in most places, which obstructs gameplay so your VATS will constantly acquire targets that are impossible to see through the Godrays.
