Unfortunately, I don't remember where it happened so I can't tell you about that part.
It's a reference to a short story by Edgar Allan Poe, called "The Cask of Amontillado".

The player can pick up several bottles of Amontillado and you can see how someone who suffered a similar fate to the person in the story, wound up.
It's an homage to great literature.

Should. The names 'Dunwich' and 'Pickman' are both allusions specifically to the literature of HP Lovecraft ("The Dunwich Horror" and "Pickman's Model", respectively).
Haven't seen that and google gives no results. Post screenshots pls
