Fallout London: Crash on new game intro. Screen freeze and lock

Can anyone point my to how I might fix this? Thanks!

I downgraded manually and it launches fine. I select New Game, the loading icon runs than disappears and it looks like the intro starts and the screen freezes and becomes unresponsive. Can't be closed and need to restart to use that monitor at all. And I get a disk scan/rebuild on restart. Added the Buffout 4 mod but no luck.

Ryzen 1600x
RX 6750xt

Use the config files shipped with Fallout London (__config - subfolder). If you are using your old "Fallout" config files that can cause these issues.

I copied the config files into the fallout 4 folder and I'm still having the issue--thanks for the help though

Copied the config files found in the fallout london mod to the path you linked--no dice unfortunately still the exact same freeze

I had the same issue, nothing really helped. I did manage to get past it by spamming T to skip the cutscene.

How do you start the game because you say

a disk scan/rebuild on restart

That should never happen in the first place.

Brothers and sisters. It’s and thems. Wombos of all types. For anyone having this issue and tried “every” suggested solution check this out. I have a fresh install of fallout 4 on GOG just for this mod and the game freezing on startup was the bane of my existence. I desperately tried everything and while yes skipping the scene does work, I still ran into issues down the road. Finally I found this dude’s video and said “♥♥♥♥ it” and tried it. boom it worked. I know this guy is not a fancy YouTuber and has a heavy accent, but I did what he suggested and I finally got to watch the intro cutscene! Please watch this tutorial and try his suggestion.
