SKE problem, I think.
Last year my game kinda collapsed of its own weight on game day 70 & approx. level 325. I reinstalled but now SKE menu is different. Under structures all the wood, concrete & steel? floors walls ceilings etc. are gone. Worst of all tho is the missing wallpaper. There was a ton of it & I used it constantly. I did the entire vault 88 with it. I've reinstalled SKE several times both manually & with NMM to no avail. I have read extensively, but again, nothing. I admit to not understanding it fully. When I went to college PCs were just a dream & I struggle at times to catch up or keep up. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated as this makes my amateur settlement builds even more impoverished. Thanx.

If you weren't on the modern version of the game, congratulations, you broke your game by allowing it to update to the Next Generation.

Settlement Keywords Expanded has last been updated in 2018 and the author has locked comments since 2017 (huge red flag). Time to move on ...

OK, I can accept that. Any ideas for alternative wallpapers? I haven't found anything on Nexus yet. Only workshop rearranged has a few.

Sadly since last year, there was a new update to fallout4,

That update made extensive changes to the base games files, structures and call functions. As such, many mods have to be updated to work with the new internal structure of the game: And some older mods will never be updated again, as they are abandoned.

There is nothing you can do, nit clean up your game's file with the new version of the mods, if there are updates, and remove the mods that are not updated.

And sadly, your save game is now invalid due to the changes, and will never work :(

Catdeco is one I use, though it doesn't have wall stuff. There are WOEFULLY few good actual wallpaper-on-walls mods that don't require you to have all manner of other garbage also installed to use theirs, and they're not always even 'complete sets'.

I'm using Snap N Build's updated modern set and it has a really nice array of build materials for clean and pretty houses and commercial stuff, gardens and whatnot. It might or might not be what you are looking for but I assure that it works at least on my end (unupdated) I THINK it works for the update.

It does require Snap N Build as a base but that too works fine.

I got caught unawares twice by Bethesda. It upgraded me to Next Gen before I understood what happened. I rolled it back but within a few days game wouldn't load, local files wouldn't verify & "reacquisition was required". It reacquired the entire NG again. This time I decided to go with the flow cause in the long run I think it's best. I have all the F4SE dependencies I use except for faster workshop (its future looks bleak, read abandoned) and transfer settlements which supposedly will be fixed.

As for Snap & build, I lost it during the upgrade and only yesterday got it back in my menu. I just downloaded & installed the add-on with NMM & will find out later if it works. If there are any modders out there reading this, a new mod with wallpaper, ceilings & floors should be popular & much in demand. Meanwhile I'm going to see if I archived 'plugin.txt from my old game & see just what I had installed. Thanks to everybody.

Good luck, man.

I was somewhat "lucky" in that I refused to update my actual computer's OS until FEBRUARY of this year, thanks to Steam requiring "no more 7". I was already hip deep in this play through of my game and had NO intention of leaving it. So I had Steam offline for quite a while purely because unless I knew the rest of my ancient early-2000s programs that I use *daily* would still work, I was not going to be launching Steam live on windows no matter what version.

So that delayed my entry to the modern Steam and had me well aware of the ability to move on and offline. And I'm MORE than paranoid enough about this stupid game and any updates to it, that I jumped on the "don't update this game ever" method very early.

Reverting? From all I've seen is a PAIN in the BUTT. So hopefully you can manage to get all your rad-ducks in a row.
