Best mod to lower weapons?
Is there a mod that allows you to lower weapons manually? I had one before the big update that was on a timer and caused a lot of glitches with sound and movement. I have a similar mod for Starfield that works just fine. So I'm just wondering if there is a mod that gives you control over that. I like playing in first person in survival mode and not having the gun raised like this is Duke Nukem.

If you are one of those "Just holster it" people, please move a long and don't waste our time.

its simply hold the reload button to lower your weapon, no mod needed. That's literally how to manually lower the weapon. (holstering counts as lowering)

if you want it to automatically lower your gun, there are mods out there for it, but I don't know if you want it for the Next-Gen version or the downgraded version (or if it will work with either)

Just for fun type in what you just typed as the thread title in a search engine.

Marvelous witchcraft is it not?

technically it is an adult mod from a certain lovely lab... but MCG has its main options key (you'd need to define that key) set to put away any weapons you hold and "equip" your fists.

other than that, vanilla holding your reload key will lower your weapon and ultimatively just unequipping any equipped weapon will bring out your ... bare hands.

someone made a mod to allow you to unequip weapons and armor/clothing via favorites (something that should have been base game, but isn't): https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/83024

nice mod... but because i use the mentioned MCG the suggestion comes a bit late... would have been handy to use to equip my mil. cap and patrol glasses without going into the pip boy back in the day.

This is exactly the type of time wasting response I was talking about. We like seeing the gun on the screen in a lowered position. Stop being a jerk and waste someone else's time

I did but sometimes when you ask in a forum someone knows about a mod that you can't find in a search engine. Magic isn't it?

Do people just not understand the concept of holding a gun in your hand but not having it pointed in front of you? Not looking to unequip it. Just looking to make the game a little more realistic for survival mode

I'll just try this mod and assume it still works even though it's from 2015. Way to be unhelpful, everyone who replied

Or maybe I haven't played the game in years and was wondering if there was a newer mod than the one I used in the past. But I guess it's common place to be as rude as possible on steam these days.

Lowered Weapons - Quicker Relax Timer

patch for Lowered Weapons so that it lower faster

Thanks for actually answering and not being jerk. The first mod is the one I had before and back then it messed up the running and walking animation and the sound too so I'd say don't use this one to anyone else who might be interested in this type of mod.

I'm not the only one being a jerk here. You didn't even accurately explain what you wanted until this very response, as if anyone could magically read your mind. You didn't even get a good response until after you posted the following as proof of my statement (assuming you meant 1st person):

We like seeing the gun on the screen in a lowered position.

Had the original post had this, I would have a different response.

You were rude and I let you know. Get over it.

I wasn't the only one rude here, you were rude as well. Not just in your reply, but also the OP, based on the 2nd reply.
