It's dead huh, according to who? Did you run a census or something, or did you run some before and after comparisons using player number statistics? Would you mind sharing your results then?

No?

Thought so.

Then; it's "dead because it's a failure no more update patches". WTH does that even mean?

The logic at work here is mind numbing.

I would be ok with that. I would have bought it in a heart beat. The Update has been great for myself. Not had any major issues with any of it. Lots of extra content was added. I appreciate Beth doing that.

The OP is dead wrong with the exception for himself it might be a failure. But for a lot of other players, it has been great.

Look at all these fanboys, heres a fact check

People hate the nextgen update, get over yourself, it sucks, it broke peoples mods, its comically oversized and hardly makes the game look better.
Imagine attempting to call people out and failing miserably like this lol

Gotta agree. The Next Gen didn't really impact the popularity of Fallout 4 even though it's just another corporate boondoggle, and the High Rez DLC never was an issue except for people running potatoes with 100GB hard drives.

No, several were but most were bugs with the base game and/or official DLC.

Resolved issues preventing Japanese and Chinese users from connecting to Bethesda.net (this restores access to Mods).
Resolved issue preventing save data from properly loading during the prologue.
Resolved issue that could prevent the Vault 111 Door from opening on new games.
Resolved issue that could prevent the quest “Go Home” from advancing.
Resolved issue that could result in Codsworth being broken on the ground after fast traveling.
Resolved issue with mipmaps in DLC.
Resolved issue that could result in a softlock when in dialogue with Prestson Garvey.
Resolved issue preventing autosaves while fast traveling in Power Armor.
Fixed issue where text would occasionally disappear in the Creation Club menu.
Resolved issues with text formatting in the credits in Japanese and Chinese.
Resolved issue causing the camera to fail when leaving furniture after an extended time.
Fixed issue that could misplace quest markers while the VR Workshop Creation was installed alongside Automatron.
Resolved issue with player movement in some underwater areas at Thicket Excavations.
Resolved issue that could cause corruption within the Settlement system resulting in wrong resource counts and/or destroyed settlements.
Resolved issue where the “Level Up” notification would display even if there was not a level up available.
Fixed some flickering in Vault 111.
Stability improvements.
General stability improvements
Fixed visual issue with certain imagespaces
Auto HDR is re-enabled (Xbox Series S|X)
Fixed issue where reserved space was not displayed correctly in load order menu (Xbox Series S|X)
Fixed issue with character name field when in widescreen mode. (PC)
Fixed an issue that occasionally caused bundles to not fully download and could cause a crash
Fixed an issue with material swaps
Fixed an issue with load order that would break DLC until a restart after downloading mods (PlayStation 5)
Fixed an issue that would occasionally cause a crash if you returned to the Main Menu with queued mods still downloading (PlayStation 5)
Fixed an issue that could cause the Creation Club menu to not appear (Microsoft Store)
Fixed a crash that could occur when connecting to the network after a suspend/resume with the network disabled (Xbox One)

There were also some other platform specific bug fixes for PS5 and Xbox Series S/X as well as some bug fixes for the Creation Kit

5 years since the last patch and 27 fixes is really pretty impressive for a company of their size. Some of the things they fixed where there since release and it only took them 9 tiny years to do their job. Quite impressive. 16 times the bugfixing waiting queue howard.....

This doesn't make any sense.

This. It's not "dead" or "alive" or anything. It's just a patch. It happened, that's all.

You didn't offer even one shred of objective evidence for your provocative claim. I wonder why that is? Could it be that you have none? Could it be that all you have is a pissy emotional state that you have to inflict on every innocent bystander nearby like a five-year-old? Could it be that you're foolish enough to think that the game's developers will ever read your rant?

That's definitely not the general consensus. It fixed HDR... That's about the only thing that's noticeable in a good way (like a lot of people, I don't use the creation club stuff so I won't comment on that).

Previously existing bugs that were fixed? You're having a laugh... They haven't even fixed the weapon debris bug from years ago yet.

Various other problems were introduced by the next gen update. These weren't fixed in the patch that came after.

Complainers are normally the most vocal. So you can't count as a accurate representation of most players, based on forum complainers. The review ratings for the game in the last 30 days, is at Very Positive ( 86% of 3000+ players. ) I would say your so called consensus is just a opinion.

It certainly broke mods for a lot of players. Which they use them at their own risks. And there was several heads up warning posts on this forum in how to avoid it. So the blame is with those who did not heed the warning, or had the misguided feelings their mods would work ok.

Nothing he wrote even begins to compare with the venomous incivility of your response.

Why do I get the feeling you posted this thread for the sake of posting a thread? Pretty sure you're not going to respond back.

But, anyway, whether people having fun with the new update or not, let's not fool ourselves in thinking there's anything "next-gen" about it. Just a fancy name slapped over it with nothing too concrete for the PC. As been said, it was more of the consoles than PC.

Then again, what's your point?

Nothing I wrote was objectively wrong; whether you dislike its confrontational tone is immaterial.

You must have run really out of arguments. Your luck is that i´m from a timeline where people did not always push the moderator button for silly insults.

It's great, I play it 100% mod free and it's great. No issues

Same. I've had zero issues with the current version.

I bought GOG 1.10.163 because I didn't want to play something else while I waited for F4se, FallUI series etc to update. It was worth $10 to me, which is what it cost at the time.
Now I have almost everything working on 198 except PipBoy Storage Assistant. I use the TARDIS mod for that now. I had to modify the TARDIS mod to get rid of the smoke (looked like a pot den), the noise (I get that the TARDIS is loud when it travels, but with headphones it hurt my ears so I cut it by 12 dB), added a water fountain, a build area with a workshop so I could build a decontamination arch, put a Vault Tech Super Reactor in it
I'm working on trying to make an interior cell settlement, so I can put a settler in it to grow Mutfruit and glowing fungis..

198 works good now.
