Fallout London starting..

I'm starting from the Commonwealth, where should I go? I found two radio channels but no mission starts..😥

There is the usual Bethesda panel: Continue and new..

Fallout 4 has a seperate folder as fallout london. First install fallout 4 goty (without any mods if you owned it previously), then install fallout london in it´s designated folder. You should have a fallout london icon in your gog galaxy to start it from when finished.

Fallout London has it´s own intro, it´s own title screen....it´s a total conversion.

No I simply chose "Continue" the game instead of selecting "New", now it works🤔
But I have to say that the atmosphere of the Commonwealth so "dark" is fantastic, very good. Also the music, excellent.

As said, the intro should be different, the title screen different. If there is any fallout 4 left something is wrong. And never start with the fallout 4 icon, always with the fallout london one.

How long's it take to get FO4 on Steam ready for London?
I was considering just buying the GOTY on GoG as you can just download the modded FO4 straight from there, as it's currently on sale.

I have two folders: in the first Fallout 4 Goty GOG there is the fallout because I installed the mod there too. It works in the Commonwealth with atmosphere "dark" but it works by continuing my old game.
Then there is the other folder Fallout London, starting from there the mod starts regularly in London, it is however external.
Then I have the third game folder Next-Gen game in Steam. 😄

I cannot speak personally as I just picked up the GoG version and did it from there but it seems a lot of people have had trouble with downgrading the Steam version from the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ next-gen update.

The GOG version is not the next gen version so its way easier doing it that way,

Downgrading a clean steam version is normally not a problem. Problem is that most people filled their fallouts up with mods and those remain in the installation even when running the downgrader. That´s what it makes currently so hard helping people that run into problems, you don´t know what they did to their fallout 4 installation previously.

A clean fitting gog version makes this a lot easier for sure.

I thought it was like the classic DLCs that you installed in the game folder and started from a radio message, now i find myself in the Commonwealth, new radio channels (excellent music), new pip-boy and map iconography but it seems effective, but mostly stable game. To fix by default it will still require a clean install.

no.

FOLON is a total conversion mod, there is NO Boston in the FOLON mod. IF you are in Boston, you have done something wrong.. Most likely not using the correct launcher.

I am also confused, I get the London intro and start screen but then when I start it goes to that FO4 Bathroom scene ? is that correct ?

You are most likely using the wrong launcher, FOLON has it own launcher, use that.

IF you ARE using the FOLON launcher, you have a borked install. uninstall and start again.,

No. Fallout London starts at a labratory with 2 scienctis in from of you

TO MAKE IT CLEAR:

The GoG setup creates a GoG structure for Fallout 4. only fallout itself is missing.

After the setup into GoG London the installer asks you for your steam installation.

now the files from GoG London will be COPIED to your steam folder, including altering files.

yes you can delete the GoG London installation afterwards but you will lose the update functionality for fallout london.

all you need is to start FO london by f4se_loader.exe

if you want to add mods your steam directory is the right place NOT the GoG Folder !!!

if you are not using a mod manager you have to add *.esp, *esl and *esm files manually to

...\AppData\Local\Fallout4\Plugins.txt

Archives *.ba2 must be added to the SResourceArchiveList entry at Fallout4.ini

*EDIT:
DONT TRY TO INSTALL FOLON on a exsisting installment. deinstall FO4, start from scratch. Dont forget to remove the game settings from mygames\fallout4 folder.

Fallout 4 must be downgraded otherwise Fallout London will NEVER work.
