I seriously doubt it is currently possible.

Custom clothing needs specifications to allow CBBE adjustments. Which is why clothing mods have optional files for the various body editors (CBBE, Atomic Beauty, Fusion, etc.)

In the future it could be possible with come compatibility patches.

1: Export all the clothing in the game.

2: install CBBE

3: Install Bodyslide

4: manually go through Every, Single. Clothing item you exported, adding in the CBBE bones. (must be done for EACH item. individually)

5: load up the mesh editor, load the new clothign with bone rigs and edit the meshes to get rid of seams.

6: import rigged clothing back into game.

7: load body slide. design character specs. Save.

8: copy bodyslide to rigged clothing using bodyslide.

9: done.

Should take you about 30 minutes per outfit. Get to it.

He asked.

I told him...

What's more forceful? a direct answer with a good estimated time frame?

Or asking for something that takes time mere HOURS after launch of a huge mod?

Or maybe I'm just tired of all the entitlement I am seeing, and as someone who actually makes mods and had/has to put up with such people, it gets my goat?

Don't mind those who can't stand an honest answer. Where I live in the direct no-biting-around-the-bush is almost everywhere so I didn't get what they are so worked up about.

If some mods adds armor items - and FOLON is just a mod after all - then you'd need bodyslide data to make it work. In the absence of those your best bet is just to wear other items that have CBBE support (likely from external mods)

You are not exqueezed. Nightmares explained the entire process of creating the CBBE data for the clothing. Someone just has to do that and upload the mod.

And?

Someone took the time and effort to make those mods for you.

Unless you made them all yourself. in which case: Good for you!

I have dozens of clothing mods, and I have made from scratch multiple outfits myself as well.

I even listed the steps above to do it, and a time frame of what it takes to do a good job per item.... so when you next go into Fallout 4, and play "dress up", be sure to go THANK the mod author for their time and effort THEY put in for your fancy.... Its the least you can do.

Not sure where your anger comes form.
I have no issue at all with your post, its accurate, valid and I agree with it.
Never even hinted at anything different.

And of course I am grateful to the mod author, again where did I say anything different?

mentioning the number of outfits I have right after your 30 minutes per, I thought it was a good and obvious attempt attempt at levity for the "lot" of the CBBE heavy guys.

No offense to you (again) I think a lot of folks on the forums, at times myself included, we subconsciously engage in mental framing, so even the most innocuous post will be framed in the most negative interpretation.

There is no shame in it, just an opportunity for self reflection perhaps?

Not angry. not even in the slightest.

I just have a snipped posting form....

IF I am mad, then you will get paragraph after paragraph of pedantic detail of exactly how and why you are "wrong", and exactly why I am "mad"....

Haha fair enough.
All the best Sir.
Going to play the game now.

Cheers.

While i do appreciate the exact steps needed in the explanation with the time frames, there was no need to tell people to GET TO IT as if you were scolding a child, the dude asked if it's possible, he did not demand a mod for it, would have gone a hell of a lot better if you ended the comment on good luck instead of get to it.

Yea ok...

And its been over 12 days since and there STILL isn't a CBBE conversion out... Clearly you should get to it if you want it. It's not doing it by itself!

Best get to it.
