Fallout London: f*ck this

So I did the downgrader, opened in GOG, plugged in the path and now it tells me "Current game build is not supported. Please install version 1.10.163.0 of the Fallout 4." I really don't want to buy the game on GOG. Any suggestions about wtf I'm doing wrong?

Probably opening the wrong .exe file. Use the Discord to double-check.

I follow this:

BUFFOUT 4 INSTALLATION - INSTALL THESE FILES MANUALLY

1. Download the Buffout 4 Main File on NEXUS: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/47359

and extract the archive somewhere on your PC.

2. Place / move the extracted F4SE folder into your Fallout 4/Data or Fallout 4 Data folder (& overwrite if asked).

And:

inside the buffout 4 zip is a folder called F4SE. If you go into your fallout 4 install folder -> data folder, you’ll see another folder called F4SE. Overwrite that with the one you just downloaded. It will insert the files you downloaded to the fallout folder without deleting existing ones.

Finally:

Go into the fallout 4 folder. There is a f4se_loader (fallout 4 script extender) .exe. I created a shortcut to it on the desktop, went to compatibility mode and chose to run as administrator. Renamed it to Fallout 4 London because I like to know what I’m looking at. Launch the game through this instead.

JUST REMEMBER! If you've got a Nvidia videocard, turn of weapon debris (fallout e ini or fallout 4 launcher option).
It's been crashing the game for years and Bethesda/Nvidia haven't acknowledged it at all.

my view too was so hyped for FOLon but all that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about?
I own a pc I'm not a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ technician.
Hopefully they'll streamline the steam version but ♥♥♥♥ me its a load of hassle for someone like me

I followed the instructions and it all worked perfectly, downgrading and installing - plus I've had no crashes or bugs (though I've only played through the intro - about an hour). I did have some hassle with Steam Guard, but that was mainly my own fault.

Yea fallout london is a mod by guys who know what they're doing with modding fallout 4, and lots of people are getting thrown into the deep end not really understanding that it's not plug and play, you need to install other mods which they don't have any documentation about. I tried it this afternoon ran into crashes, tried to install some mods this evening, but decided it was ultimately not worth the trouble since the FOLON team didn't put any documentation anywhere.

Wanted to add there have been other total conversion mods like Enderal that have done it perfectly, the way the FOLON devs did this is not the play.

Honestly it seems like a coin toss on whether or not it installs.

I been watching for two days now where some people have zero issue installing.
They pass on the same instructions to others and for some reason they not not work.
I have friends who have made multiple attempts to install and no luck.

Then out of those who did get it to run quite a few get nothing but crashes.

I can't even downgrade. After I get past SteamGuard it starts downloading 1/7 then freezes. In the command line it says to input *another* SteamGuard, and it does email a code again, but there is nowhere to input the code because the files are attempting to download. Any ideas what's going on?

Game is running flawlessly for me, how cant people follow the basic instructions...

Just wait to install it once the dust has settled and try again in a few weeks when they should (hopefully) have a good chunk of issues sorted.

I'm running it fine and did not have to install other mods.
