Fallout: London is unstable
Is there any way stop it from crashing?

I bought and downloaded the GOG version of FO4 and just installed FL and it all worked fine until I went outdoors for the first time. First it crashed when I was on that train, then shortly after I met these few ppl.

Maybe because the game runs in 120 FPS? I don't notice any performance issues or weird things happening.

System: Latest Win11 Pro, Latest Nvidia Driver, R9 5950x, RTX 3080, 32 GB 3600 MHZ CL14 RAM, installed on a Gen3 NVMe

you might try limiting it to 60fps through the Nvidia control panel. Also make sure weapon debris is disabled to start with.

I disabled weapon debris I know about that bug. But playing any game at 60 FPS in the year 2024 is nonsense. I mean there is no weird frame pacing, hitching or problem while lockpicking and such, there shouldn't be a problem.

the same with me. If it crashes so much right at the beginning, then I lack motivation.

Compare with "Legend of Ahssun 2018" (mod of Gothic 2002), that also crashed 20 times in 90 hours of play time, but not at the beginning. The beginning was very stable.

If the FPS matter, then it should have already crashed in the beginning not for the first time going outdoors into the London cell.

It's not a game from 2024 though so you shouldn't expect it to run like one. Also, there's no way of knowing if there should be a problem or not, you don't know how things were programmed in either the game or the mod. There's a lot going on behind the scenes that the user is never aware of that could be time sensitive and not having the expected time envelope to start and finish tasks could cause issues.

Get Buffout 4 for stability and the High FPS physics fix for loading times and to unlock fps. Solves most issues for me.

There are things I think are death trap about Fallout:
- new ideas
- modding
- C-RPG

I just want a finished end result, like DAYS GONE PC 2021 (Unreal Engine 4)
- Cookie Cutter Gothic Fiction Genre (that feeling "I could have been the developer")
- no modding or only general Unreal Engine modding, not modding with an already broken Creation Engine system
- no loading times, no crashes. Play 13 hours straight on the first day of release and only flow emotions
- RPG elements and a polished on-site feeling in "survival" mode (only 3% instead of 30% play this replay value, but as a connoisseur I can't come to the forum except to praise it because of the replay value and not a tedious remake-reboot discussion OR Determining that future games must reuse these assets)

High FPS Physics fix or load accelerator, both work.
I read about buffout 4 for improved stability (i had a first start for about 3 hours that ran quite good - just 1 crash - and after getting enough knowledge i deleted all saves, restarted for improved start and then the crashing suddenly happened everywhere - weird).
Does Buffout 4 requires all these additional .dll that are listed in the requirement section?

Because of the crashes, I tried to install this:
Buffout 4
xSE PluginPreloader F4

But now LONDON won't start at all and loads the save game into an EDITOR moonscape.

I'm giving up. Only when a FOLION update comes out would I reinstall everything LONDON Mod.

So you don´t want help and just want to rant?
Check if you put everything in the correct folders, it works.

You need to use the f4se_loader.exe in your Fallout 4 Folder.

I wish at least this could have been my experience with it.
But I haven't been able to have any fun yet.

Install Buffout 4, quick drag and drop. All the required other mods listed on nexus are already in Fallout London.

Only buffout 4? The confusion came at the moment where i realized buffout 4 lists multiple other stuff as a requirement.

I installed Buffout4 and Load Accelerator and set it to "AutoDetectLoadingState = false" and "FPSLimitInGame = 90". Now loadscreens have like 270 FPS and are short and the regular gameplay is 90 FPS so it doesn't break scripts. It's not 120 sure, but 90 is okay ish it feels smooth enough.
