I've been trying to run it with F4SE through Vortex, and it was better to begin with. But still having problems with the infinite loading screens when going back to the open world.
IIRC, there is a mod on Nexus to fix the loading times and the mod dev is making a compatibility mod specifically for FOLON to reduce the load screens. I'm sure it'll be ready within a few days as he wants the mod for himself too, lol.
Haven't heard of "infinite" loading screens yet. There was some guy on the Discord talking about how he's played for 12 hours straight and just gotten used to the 4-minute loading screens, lol. As soon as he opens a door, he does some house chores, goes to the bathroom, grabs a "cuppa", smokes a cig, etc. then comes back to the game, lmao. Not for me.
So, simply put: Do not touch anything that is installed by the London Installer.
Also, High FPS Physics Fix is working well.
Note that if your game takes you to the pre-war house character creation screen then you have obviously touched the files that London installed. This means that you need to reinstall London and NOT touch the files that were installed.
What advice would you have for me, who has not "touched" any files? I literally installed and started the game. My cc was the pre-war cc screen followed by a seemingly 12 year loading screen.
Without the load screen fix it was taking 2+ minutes on every load screen with a good SSD, which is insane for such an old game/engine. No clue why issues like this were not addressed in the extra time they had since the initial release was pushed back.
I play Fo76 and i rarely ever crash so for this to be way more buggy is saying something. Not being unappreciative of the immense amount of work for many years this has taken to get finished and released but it has been a rough experience for me and many others due to the constant CTD. I'm excited to play it and see all the new content and characters and quests etc but it is hard when i can only see it all in such small amounts.
1. Do a clean Fallout 4 installation.
2. Install Fallout London.
3. Install High FPS Physics Fix. (Fix loading times)(Make sure the version is for Fallout London)
4. Install Weapon Debris Fix. (Fix ingame crashing)(Make sure the version is for Fallout London)
5. Play
Again, if the game takes you to the pre-war cc then your F4SE is not the one that came with London.
