Fallout London GOG Needed? I Own on Steam
I am confused. This is on GOG, or is it elsewhere, like Nexus?
I tried to use it on GOG, but when I added FO: L to my library, it gives a guide that just says page not found.

I actually own it on Steam. Should I just skip GOG and download on Steam, and then mod on Nexus/MO2?

Cheers.

You can use the Steam version, but the process is more complex as you have to downgrade your Fallout 4 installation to an earlier build. There's a downgrader mod on Nexus.

It's easier with the GoG version which is already downgraded and Fallout London ready.

Thanks for the reply... I'll do some more research.

I own it on PS4 & Steam. I'm totally not buying it on GOG for a London mod lmao

despite having bought it originally from steam, and then also for ps4/5, i looked at this and just thought €16 to get a separate app that i dont have to do anything to before installing FALON. also part of me thinks, really i should be paying FALON, so paying GOG is the next best thing, hopefully GOG will find they sell a lot of FO4 copies on the back of providing hosting for it.

see lots of people having problems with steam and everyone else who has gog dont they seem to be fine

easier just to buy the game again on gog and do a clean install.
the slowest part is my down load, 5 hours just too see if it works lol

For Steam users
That's all you need, it's in the CONTENT folder. The last one to install is depot_377163

I found it 100% easier to purchase the reasonably priced $15.00 copy of FO4 on GOG and Install London on that rather than downgrading and tinkering with the nicely modded and stable version of FO4 I own on Steam. Bother installs play separately and perfectly. If it's within your budget and you have the hard drive space it's a hassle free option.

gog works flawlessly not one bump in the road so too speak.

i had to remove sum hidden folder before i could install but once i did that and disabled gog cloud the game installed no worries and i played it for more than a hour no crashes at all.

the game was worth the purchase again.

If those 15$ would go to FOL team, I'd buy, but I'm not giving any more money to Bethesda.

Sadly that $15 is $22 AUD. I can't bear the idea of spending that much on a third copy of FO4 haah

I have a save file on Steam that I don't want to overwrite, if I get the GoG version and install London on that will the saves overwrite or mingle with my Steam saves? I want to keep my current playthrough.

I was able to get Fallout London running on my steam version. As others have said previously I downgraded FO4 to the old build. Then I downloaded the Fallout London installer from GOG (it's free.) After that I added some mods via Vortex like Buffout and a few others they suggested and started the game. No problems so far.

Your current saves will be fine. Saves are character specific and you have to create a new character for London
