Fallout London Crashing
Amazing mod. But I'm getting frequent crashing with it. I don't have the next gen patch installed or an other mods. I think I'll hold off until they patch it. It's buggy too. It took multiple attempts to get the game to load past the opening train section. I've even dialled back settings and updated to the latest Nvidia driver.

Windows 11
GTX 1660 Super
Ryzen 5 3600
16 GB Ram
1TB SSD

Yeah it's a little buggy and prone to crashes right now it seems. It's not your hardware either, I had two crashes in the first 30 minutes or so with a 7800X3D, RTX 4090, and 64GB of RAM.

I just had another crash when using VATS. It goes straight to the desktop. We'll just have to wait.

Turning down the settings slightly and disabling all the effects like weapon debris and stuff seems to have almost completely stopped the consistent 10 minute crashes I was getting, but I still crash just walking around London unfortunately, in particular anytime I walk into the graveyard near Greenwich Station it crashes.

weapon debris doesn't work right on modern GPUs in general and should be disabled since the SDK they used is no longer supported. It can work on some GPUs in some instances but it causes a lot of crashes.

Sick. Thanks Bethesda.

More Nvidia's fault than Bethesda's since they dropped support at the driver level for modern GPUs (not sure why they dropped support though). It wasn't Bethesda's SDK and I don't believe it was open source. There is a mod that disabled the collision for the debris that supposedly fixes the crashes but that kinda removes the entire point of the effect in the first place

I have always had weapon debris disabled and god rays off. I've dialed back on distance sliders too. I'm getting constant crashing near that Greenwich Station graveyard with the ghouls too.

The loading times are desperate. Especially leaving an interior and going back into the open city. Possibly a limitation of the script extender and how the devs are using assets.

for me it crash when trying to make a new game...

After getting constant crashes with the 1.1.4. downgrader I downloaded the 1.1.5. version and started from scratch, reinstalling everything including the downgrader. After getting an endless loading screen and another crash I'm done.
It was free, but my time is precious, and I feel (yet again) I've been bamboozled by dodgy devs.

I have this issue as well. It hangs and cpu usage drops to near zero. Can't get into a new game.

i solved it by locking game too 60 fps...
Lord Nighthawk Jul 25, 2024 @ 1:25pm
The engine should always be locked to 60fps for internal synchronization, weapon debris should be always off due to lack of support.

How did you lock it?
10700kf at 4,3ghz
3060 12 gb
32 gb 3200mhz
1tb ssd 980 nvme m2

Zero problems this game runs smooth, no tearing, no stuttering with the GOG version. But here it is, no launcher in between. So i can use my Nvidia drivers, instead of those crappy opengl drivers.

I have had about 20 CTD in around 3 hours of playtime. I think it might be best to wait for an update.
I have a good pc above recommended specs and I know how to install mods so it's not on my end.
