Opinions on Fallout: London

Now that FOLON is out i'm wondering how people feel about the game, and how much they are enjoying it so far.

I must of messed about with tweaks, extra mods, fixing loading times ext for 4 hours or so, but now its running solid. 10 hours in no crashes. Running like 10 mods. mostly graphics, quick load mods, enb ext.

As for the game, actually loving it. Feels like fo2 meets fonv. Some of the npc quests are really fun, and have actual impact in the game. Exploring is really fun. World feels dangerous, creepy at times. Difficulty is pretty rough on very hard early on, but once you get into the game and lvl up a bit its pretty good.

Some of the perks are really fun, like sleep walker. Yeah really cool mod, enjoying it more than fo4 base game. It's just a shame it takes quite a bit of messing about to get it all working well.

What doesn't help are the extremly wonky hit boxes of some objects and buildings and bugs like guns refusing to shoot. Also, why doesn't the Vagabond-base have workbenches for weapons and armour? No idea!

sounds to me ur very early game. did you find a doctor to cure urself. if you didn't ur taking 10% more dmg and dealing 10% less.

I'm 10 hours in and taking out star enemies with pistols and melee pretty easy. vats is strong and the game is a lot easier as you get afew lvls under ur belt.

A good bit of micro stutters. My 4080 super can’t maintain 60fps which is insane. Just had a hard crash. Honestly not worth my time when there are better games to play.

I have found the game to be a little dull and boring, but playable. Enemies are bullet spounges. The torch isn't bright enough to really illuminate much. Was playing for six hours before my first CTD. Will continue to play but not sure for how long.

Fallout London not working for you?

After running the Fallout London Downgrader[www.nexusmods.com] install the mod on a fresh (unmodded) installation of Fallout 4, then install the following mods from Nexus[www.nexusmods.com] using the Nexus Vortex[www.nexusmods.com] mod manager.

1. Address Library for F4SE Plugins[www.nexusmods.com]

2. Fallout 4 Script Extender (F4SE)[www.nexusmods.com] NOTE: You must select the version Compatible with runtime 1.10.163 (Expand Old Files on the Files tab)

3. xSE PluginPreloader F4[www.nexusmods.com]

4. Buffout 4[www.nexusmods.com]

After the mods have been installed via Vortex, launch Fallout 4 from the Vortex game launch button[i.imgur.com].

Tally ho, and pip pip! Lets get on with the bloody thing!!

Skill issue.
Mod works like a charm on gog version, only one crash for me after 10 hours.
Foxes, bug and ghoul arent op, i only need a few hits with my wooden bar to kill one, 2 handed melee weapon can stagger them.
I'm lvl 4 atm and found a few .32 crude blowback full auto gun, musket pistol and a .32 semi automatic handgun.
Fallout London is supposed to play with normal difficulty, higher than that is just a waste of time for masochist.
I go hoarder trait with 5 strength and got 350 carrying weight, that is fair enough for me. Strength is A tier stats in FOLON.

Turns out, that taking the beer mat in The Hound, that's supposed to increase melee- and bashing-damage by 5%, instead cuts all your damage in half.

After loading a mod that removes its perk, combat feels just right now. :)

There are a lot of things in FO London better than in FO4, first thing everyone see from the gameplay trailer are firearms, look better and more fun to shoot.

It's a buggy mess. Looks like a damn fine passion project, but it's technically so shoddy atm it can't be enjoyed.

Just wait until you see IGN or PCGamer articles confirming they've fixed it. May not ever happen, unfortunately, but let's hold out hope.
