Are you on windows 11 or 10?
Also if that b760 ds3h is "new" it should be using ddr5 memory. Is this a desktop or a laptop? It would probably help to have the actual system specs. If you go to the top of your steam library window and click HELP > SYSTEM INFORMATION and post the whole list here, that would be a good thing to also keep for your own use.
Did you crank up any software settings you never had before? default everything.
DDR3
You can buy older stuff online new, and it's newer to you so maybe meant that?
Discontinued would be that word. Nikon do that with a certain item/gem to this day, the item is considered a no-brain'r does what it says on the tin and is still produced.
It's gotta be pretty dam special to stay out the discontinued list, for many years.
THE END.
:)
It's a typo, they only have DDR4 and DDR5 for this board.
is only the soundcard he uses enabled and only that one got its driver? asking that because games can go havoc when presented with more than one activated possibility for that.
Oops, f@t-fingered. It's DDR4. Desktop, Windows 10 Pro 64 Bit.
I apologize for not getting back to this thread sooner.
Using Realtek audio drivers. I disabled the NVIDIA audio driver since I don't use the speakers in my monitor (not sure it even has speakers.)
Realtek driver date in Device Manager is 2019. When I try to update to the May 2024 driver, Windows says "The latest driver is already installed."
Audio works great on everything else, with the exception of having to switch to the front output manually when plugging in the headphones. Speakers are on the rear MOBO audio connection, headphones are on the front panel audio connection.

It's the 1.0 version of the GigaByte B760M DS3H DR4 mobo. I think there is an newer version (version 1.1 or some such.)
Fresh install of Windows to the new M.2 drive. Old license was locked to the old MOBO, so had to buy a license for Win10. The nerve! How DARE they make me purchase a product???
I think I installed the older versions of Visual C++. Will double check. Thanks!
That did it! Ran the DirectX web setup, and I have sound on FO4 again. Thanks a bunch!!!
