2 shot nerfed
Did they nerf 2 shot? Read a couple of posts suggesting the accuracy might have been - but others suggesting it was just a bug. Only ask as I got a legendary plasma to drop with 2 shot but note that, at least with hip fire, one bolt goes practically off to the side. It's kind of hmmmm - I use it as an assault rifle. Had it drop as well with instigating and thinking of going back and taking that instead. That said, there's already the sentinel's plasmacaster in game. Do you have to side with the brotherhood to get that or can you get it before the point of no return?

I do not know what OP has observed, but 2-shot has a drawback, which is that it reduces accuracy.

A 2-shot double barrel shotgun is basically useless. It deals lots of damage, but the hipfire rectile covers half the screen and the spray is like 90 degrees wide or so. You have to shoot targets at point blank, and you still might miss. :steamfacepalm:

Sorry, prob being a bit unclear. I was just a bit surprised. I always thought 2 shot was like the best. Been using OG and just sort of assumed it was doing the damage it said when it hit - it's difficult to see the bullets. But what I'm observing with the much more visible plasma bolts is that, while the first bolt goes where your crosshair is, the second bolt fires off at an angle approximately 45 degrees away from that.

Its better sighted tbf but still quite a big divergence. I know the description says 2 shot has "reduced accuracy" but calling that "reduced accuracy" is a tad disingenuous in my book. It's more like it "adds a second bolt that fires off randomly and goes nowhere near your target." TBH I'm prob going to go back and take the instigating variant. It actually makes me wonder if OG is actually worth it vs another legendary prefix - think ive got an explosive CR.

Apologies if this is nothing new - I'd just never tried 2 shot on something where I could actually see the round so went googling to see if it was intended, a bug, a change before I moved on. It's actually kind of... distracting. Looks crap.

Not had any issues with any Two shot weapon. Recent play run, I had the Overseer's Guardian, Two Shot Plasma Rifle and a Two Shot Lever Action Rifle. All performed fine. So in my case, no changes where made to them.

With Two Shot plasma rifle, did not notice what you have OP. I still prefer Ballistic weapons, because the projectile moves faster and you can shoot between small openings. Energy weapons are inferior to them when it comes to those two things.

Ballistic weapons have always been more accurate if you free aim and fire. The Plasma weapon worked great up close to enemies.

Compare the hipfire rectile of these two double-barren shotguns. You will see ...

Not used any two shot shotgun in ages. I mainly like Explosive Shotguns. But the weapons I posted, worked just like they have always worked for me. Did not notice any difference.

In this playthrou i use a doublebarrel Shotgun and a Antimatter Rifle (Rifle trait) and have never had any problems with it. I found a Shotgun with "Lucky" (Critical shots do double damage and the critical meter fills 15% faster). Fits well with my lucky/charisma build.

If you're really lucky you'll find a shotgun with a legendary bleeding effect. Doublebarrel with bleeding is Devastating. Non VATS builds love them.
