Don't forget that Microsoft is a mega-company. They will use a wholly owned subsidiary like Bethesda to raise their ESG score and drive the it right into the ground. It's just good business sense. High ESG scores raise stock prices and stock is how the executives of the corporation get paid. It isn't Todd you should be thinking about, but the Uber-boss Satya Nadella, CEO of Microsoft, a $3.3 trillion company. Bethesda is just peanuts to them; not just expendable, but disposable.

I certainly not trying to make anybody angry, this is just part of the calculus of social change. The economic pressure is there to advance the social change agenda from the proven ideology of the past to a new one that has never been tested or has been tested and shown to fail, and failure of the social system is the goal of the economic pressures.
So far, there are no boycotts or "scores" to preserve old values, just to advance the social change, moving the Overton window to new thinking: the old "good guys" are now the bad guys, and the old bad guys are now the new good guys.
It is thus unlikely we'll see a decent game from a company who's shares are publicly traded in the future. Our best hope for playibility lies in privately held companies and in games that can be modded.

The only reason why mods for these games exist is, because, apart from doing the work on the base game, they offer a creation kit for people's mods. You super hero.
