Why are people still playing?
I don't remember Fallout 4 being in a worse state than it is now. The game was always buggy but never broken like this. Bethesda/Microsoft obviously have no intention of ever really fixing it. So why are people still playing?

Because mods fix it? Because it works for them? Because they like it?

I feel like if you stop and think about it you can answer this question for yourself.

--- that being said... I remember a time in gaming when you bought the game... there was like an 80 percent chance the game wouldn't run on your PC. You had to scour forums for random solutions that may or may not work for your PC. This was when windows 98 was relevant.

Why do you care?

let them play.

I'm playing it because I enjoy it, and it works 99% fine for me. Minus a few visual bugs, and the occasional quest malfunction.

Because it isn't broken for me.
I played at original launch and ive played the current update, i can assure you original launch was far far worse and you are just over exaggerating.

Because for quite a few people, who used more than two braincells when the date for the both-anticipated-and-dreaded update was given, and took preventative measures so they could continue playing their game unhindered.

why cant people still play the game they bought? i constantly frequent bugthesda games because mods have fixed the majority of bugs and mods offer much more and varied content.

final version for me?

Skyrim Special Edition 1.5.9.7
Fallout 4 1.10.163

i care not about bugthesda updates.

“Why are people playing a game that can be enjoyed in its entirety regardless of how many others are playing?”

What’s it to ya?

Why do you care what others are playing?
Play what you want and let others play what they want.

If it won't work for them they would stop.

Not saying people can't or shouldn't play. But with all the nonstop complaining, it would make sense to go play a less buggy game like BG3 or Starfield?

I stopped playing now and wait for updates on the very few mods I use.

because people play what they want and what they paid for

Why not? With a couple of mods it works fine. Of course i could just spend my time here complaining, but i chose not to. It's not worth the effort, that much is clear.

Of course for now, nothing works because of the update. Just have to wait for a few days for address library - F4SE - Baka - High FPS Physics Fix etc. parity. Just have to play something else for awhile. No shortage on good games on Steam, especially indies.

There are a lot of posts complaining about the latest update... funnily, it just runs the same as before for me, with all of my mods active.

get a crash every 5-6 hours of gameplay, not a big deal. Other than that its fine.
