Wut?

You might be playing at 30 fps.

^ This is a good answer.

Read here, please, under Stuttering and Low Frame Rates. Your frame rate may not be optimal:

their dialog camera is garbage too. NPCs sandboxing while you're trying to talk to them. complete laughing stock.

we dont have any mods to fix this stuff either unlike skyrim which has true directional movement and many animation mods and improved alternate conversation camera. hell even fallout 3 and NV dialog camera is better.

I'm getting over 90 fps.

It's an animation issue. Fallout 76 doesn't have 360 view or slugging turning animations.
WHAT is 360 view and slugging turning animations?
Vin May 12, 2024 @ 1:19pm
i had to put a mod in to remove the animation recoil when landing from certain height. and a mod to remove the ridiculous camera shake when sprinting in third person in power armor.

Fo4 should have just been first person because third person is just bad here.

Disable it. See the in-game Settings->Display->Dialogue Camera or:
[Interface] bDialogueCameraEnable=0

that is not a solution. turning off dialog camera (which i can do just fine with the ingame setting) defeats the purpose of using it.

NPCs still sandbox out of dialog. third person turning animations also cause this problem.

" true directional movement" is what I'm trying to remove from Fallout 4.
i totally understand. 360 degree movement just makes no sense for TPP.

Your 'over 90 fps' is probably the issue, so cap it like a sane person using a game which its engine requires it. Yes, yes, there are mods, yes, there are 'ways' but the fact remains that the engine is choking and may cause a lot of issues that aren't always obvious.

almost like it was designed over decade ago for less powerful systems. Imagine that.
