nothing in the water?
I just got the aquaboy perk and spent a while exploring the sea, I thought there would be more to explore ngl, dont get me wrong I'm loving the game so far but didnt expect this perk to be mainly a travelling tool :er_sad:

There is a TON of content they cut having to do with the water probably for time. You can still see the remnants of abandoned quests if you swim in the coasts. Pipes with doors that don't function and ships just beyond the edge of the map.
Most Bethesda games have nothing in the water and I doubt with their trend, they're going to do anything innovative.

There is sunken stuff in the water, but you really have to search around.

If you mean `life` like fish, yea it's very disappointing, especially since you see things like mutated half-dolphin/sharks and fishes that have washed up on the land.

Most of the stuff is in Boston Harbor in the SE of the map and uhhh that's about it

There isn’t much out there. You can come across the occasional sunken container, ship wreck, or some kind of marginally interesting thing, but overall the ocean and deeper rivers and lakes are pretty barren and lifeless.

BGS has never really bothered with adding much in the way of detail, life, or content of interest under the surface of its bodies of water. They’re largely just there for show.

There are some mods which adds things and creatures, Mutant Menagerie specifically adds a few aquatic animals, but just remember - there is no underwater combat (I can’t remember if melee is even possible under water), so if you add a couple of creatures to the depths and go swimming your only option is to swim to shore.

ah nice, will start far harbour soon :er_uwu::er_uwu:
Not much under water, a PA or two, a locket to find, a submarine quest, but that's about it. If you want underwater detail, GTAV all the way.

There was a lot of cut content, including a whole Vault that was meant to be in the water. Bethesda scrapped it sadly and reused some of the assets n their first DLC. Far Harbor actually does have a fair deal of things to explore in the water when you get, though. Having the aquaboy perk is actually a worthwhile investment in Far Harbor for all the crazy stuff you can find there.
