But maximus, has the awareness of a 5 year old. "I heard its like a pimple..."
So different people have different tastes. The point in announcing your personal preference is for.......?
Guess what? I'm not a fan of coffee. Don't get why so many people drink it. I much prefer herbal teas without cream and sugar. I also enjoy mountain/trail biking more than road cycling, though I've clocked about 15,000 kilometres doing road cycling and only about 11,000 kilometres with mountain/trail biking. Anything else? Oh, had a tiptronic Porsche once, a long time ago. Gave the system a 3/10. Might as well just get a full manual or automatic.
Nobody in the Fallout 4 forum asked what your opinion of the Fallout show is. Want to leave a review for it? Try IMDB or Rotten Tomatoes.
Thanks for the Jester award. It gives me 200 points from the 600 you spent.
It's your attitude that's the problem. Your opinion itself doesn't matter. You could very well be telling us about your mother's flowery panties. What's her @ by the way? ;)
The writing was pretty weak( the whole Moldaver storyline was poorly thought out and executed) basically any game main quest was better written.
I would highly recommend to see the recent Fallout show (Season 1 is out on Amazon Prime). It is really good. Fans of the game series may nitpick on a few things, but it has an excellent cast, perfect pacing (the slow moments add the backstories and lore so newbies to the lore don't get confused or lost), gorgeous environments, thrilling fights/encounters, and does a lot of justice to the game lore and locations, and the attention to detail on the show is frankly astounding (the showmakers even got Fallout creator Todd Howard to agree to give them access to thousands of 3D models of the assets used in the games. so they could be 3D printed and painted to be shown in the show, so Fallout fans are literally combing through each scene to find and tag these easter eggs in the show. Fun times!
To put it into context why this Fallout show has a lot riding on it...
It's because the video game industry has typically fared poorly in the hands of the Hollywood execs.
Methinks...
Fallout got an excellent OTT show - at least, its first season is really good and enjoyable, staying fairly true to the roots of the game lore and authentically trying to recreate the environments and monsters, while still creating new ground with a perfect cast. Lots of little easter eggs and tropes sprinkled in the show for the fans to uncover and enjoy.
Halo movie was meh. Halo Legends (seven short animated films from Japan's greatest anime directors and studios) was much better than the recent Halo movie. Halo 5 game was bad too (good in some respects, but its story and some ideas were so bad that even the devs decided they are not canon for future sequels). Fans of Halo series deserved better. Halo Infinite is a redemption of sorts.
Uncharted movie (starring Spider star Tom Holland and action star Mark Wahlberg) was really bad and even kids didn't like it (except for that aerial fight on flying ships, which was not canon anyway; moviemakers later revealed they did not even build a single seemingly-complete ship, they merely built parts of ships and filmed on them). The Uncharted short by Nathan Fillion was much better, and he was/is an apt Nathan Drake according to fans.
Borderlands movie is being made, and it is likely to be a dud. They've cast an old-but-gold actress Cate Blanchett for the character of a young Siren (Lilith)! Duh! Borderlands game series has already deteriorated badly in its writing and new characters, and fans fear the movie will be even worse if the casting results seems to be anything to go by.
Most video-game-to-movie adaptations have failed:
https://editorial.rottentomatoes.com/guide/video-game-movies/
And the lack of creativity in Hollywood is exemplified by this humongous list of many video games being made into movies or OTT shows, within the next year or so.
Why do we get the feeling that most of these movies/shows will be flops?
Bad adaptations dishearten the fans, but unfortunately the fans do not have a say in these upcoming projects.
Even a bonafide star like Henry Cavill, who was so perfect as Geralt the Witcher, and who was a passionate fan of the games and books, was treated so badly by the Hollywood honchos and writers that he opted out of the Witcher show finally, because they deliberately deviated from canon despite his objections and insights, and butchered the Butcher of Blaviken (Geralt the White Wolf) character).

I'm not sure how others view the Fallout universe, but I see it as a solitary experience, primarily focused on exploration, fear, and scarcity of resources. If the series had followed a single protagonist, engaged in solo exploration of the contaminated area, forced to eliminate enemies and constantly on the brink of death (almost in a horror style), I would have found it much more interesting and satisfying. Instead, I found the TV series they produced quite ridiculous... especially with all that B-movie humor they inserted.
