Why are you buying anything from CC anyway? There are countless mods that are equal or better than anything on CC.
CC downloads all the content on your PC and if you had or have any other mods, it will cause problems to your overall game.
CC is a scam.
Do a clean uninstall and install it again. You'll have to decide to use CC garbage or other mods. But you only have 1 more day to download mods before the update ruins them.
You get everything for free on Nexus or even on their modding site. No need to buy from the ingame mod shop.
There's nothing wrong with CC per se, but they're just mods ... it was supposed to be fully curated, debugged, 100% guaranteed working submissions... but that's not how it played out, when they didn't get enough and they were embarrassed, they just started letting mod creators host any ol thing, then poaching even paying people to make only CC mods for them, etc.
BTW you might be hosed. Most people once installing it, have to start a new character. You can make it work, if you delete Fallout 4 completely, reinstall, reinstall your known working mods, start a new character, play up through meeting the Minutemen, then exiting and installing TSR! -- there's guides on this in various places, search here, Fallout and FO4 subreddits, gamefaqs, even nexusmods - there does exist a mod called no-autostart tunnel snakes rule you might want to check out.
Or, you know, beg them to credit it back since it's a PITA.
Then again it's a day and a half til the update, might want to see how that plays out first.
As for why I chose to pay for and use CClub content is because I respect Bethesda's decision to allow this type of content and I like supporting their game beyond just buying the game. I'd have no issues paying for a subscription to their other games like Fallout 76 or ESO, it's just I don't particularly like the concept designs of either of those games. Also, in the past I have had way way too many issues with nexus mods in the past between TES Morrowind, Oblivion, Skyrim, and FO4 such as having them completely break my game for one reason or another that I barely trust having 10 mods in any of these games. I like to have 1000s of hours into a character and too many times I've watched it all go away because a mod has a dirty script or some other garbage that permanently breaks or corrupts my game. And ideally, CClub content (and the in-game modding section), seems to have much safer and cleaner mods than what's offered on Nexus - and in my experience, it's true.
They're all likely to crash or cause issues. It's not exclusive to either of them. But at least with Nexus mods, you get actual user comments and bug reports, where Bethesda's is... not so much.
sigh, we keep telling people not to use Bethesda's CC. More or less all the guy's trying to warn you are spot on- and most of us have YEARS of experience even over Bethesda's CC. It's a con to take your money and the Mods aren't even all checked any more than the free ones for compatibility.
But you won't listen since you get excited by shiny things that look official, like the tv show.
I give up trying to warn you new guys from entering the tar pit.
(Despite the fact that i have over 100 mods from nexusmods and Bethesda. net installed alongside the creation club stuff)
But yes, the Tunnel Snakes CC content is notorious for breaking scripts. As are the CC player houses you can buy. I have heard there are fixes for CC content in the form of mods, but I do not know what or where they are. You're probably better off just deleting the files and never downloading them again.
And hopefully you've learned a lesson about trusting Bethesda with your money. If the game weren't so cheap on PC, I'd never have bought Fallout 4 after the experience I had with crashing during its free weekend some years back.
I support Bethsoft on good stuff, but CC didn't seem like it was good stuff just from what I read.
All those guys who say "just get it for free" lose track of the fact that we need those studios just as much as they need us.
But but mods that are script heavy I would definelty do some searches first.
Should Beth pull that mod?
yes .
