It varies. Like if a mod boosts the protection of armor pieces and nothing more, not having the DLC should just mean the changes the mod makes to those armors is pointless so wouldn't be a problem. But in other cases it could cause the game to crash, or not render something properly. The mod may rely on some piece of information only found in a DLC file.

The game has enough issues as it is. You are better off making sure all the required files for a mod are present.

Thanks you , so if the game doesnt have some assets it can make it crash
Do you know where i can find these DLCS cheaper ? they are very expensive on steam and they are not really good if i trust the steam reviews.

Unfortunately, you just missed a sale. All the Fallout stuff went on sale when the series was released. As for other places, I don't use those so can't help with that.

24 hours. if you want to get your mods on, I'd say this would be the best version all around.

if Creation Club is all that's important for you, then you can just install that on the base game with no consequence. this may change in the upcoming update as the gog version is apparently receiving the update in a few days.

Nexus mods will be right as rain with the gog version, you can turn off updates if you so wish

Of course it's true, they wouldn't say otherwise. Without DLC it breaks. Even if at first it looks ok, down the line like at level 20, 30 or even 50, things start going wrong: missing textures, random crashes cos it can't find a DLc thing it needs, etc, etc, etc.

ALWAYS pay attention to a Mod's requirement from the Modder. Ignoring requirements and doing you're own thing is why so many people have problems with mods.

p.s. Never pay for Mods. Go to the Nexus. You're being ripped off if you're paying. Voluntary Donations are fine.
