industrial water purifier not producing pure water?
I saw someone on Reddit mention that using an industrial water purifier is a great way to farm caps in the background. I have an industrial one set up in sanctuary. It has enough power, its running, i walked around and played the game naturally and waiting multiple days afterwards, and nothing has appeared in the workbench yet?

It seems rather hit an miss, i've tried it too, never been able to produce enough water, even with 5 or more purifiers. If u want to make bug bucks, fairly quick, Ammo, gun ammo, it is weightless and extremely common, even when searching buildings, if u take the luck perk, u find even more in buildings.

Depending on ya preferences, keep some, sell the rest, I keep 9MM .50's and Shotgun, and sell certain energy ammo the rest, I sell.

.45 ammo sells for 1 cap apiece, an u can easily find hundreds of .45

I've heard before, not sure of true, that if you have too many items of a similar nature (nuka cola, whiskey etc) it will not deposit the water into the stash, you need to move aid/food items to a separate container

You need to have a surplus. The settlers use some of the water.

How much stuff do you have in your workbench storage?

I don't use water purifiers I'm not on survival mode so they're largely irrelevant to me, but I've seen comments to the effect that they will only produce so much.

there is normally a cap on how much surplus is stored in the workshop, provided you are making more than what is used by that settlement

this mod can remove those caps https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/12430

That. If you stored a bunch of aid items it will not spawn because the storage for a production limit has been reached. Storage limit is based upon the population of the settlement.

If it is even 1 item blow the max in the workbench it will produce the entire production.

A settlement does not produce water if the water stored exceeds a limit of 5 water + 1 water per 4 settlers. Therefore, the water must be collected regularly to stay below this limit.

Did you fill the water purifier with sand?
