Fallout 4 Steam Application load error 3:0000065432
-Used to play base game a year ago and it worked fine
-Bought DLC (Far Harbor, Nuka World, Automatron) today
-Downloaded game and DLC's
-The fallout 4 Startup Screen came up and when I clicked "Play" I get the error listed above.
-I went and checked the verification of my files and it said they were fine.
-Uninstalled and Reinstalled the game
-Completely reset my PC to scratch and downloaded steam and Fallout 4 to their own blank drive. Instead of "C"
-Tried Launching steam as an administrator and starting game
- Tried turning off all anti-virus software and starting game
-Edit: Never used mods on the game before. I was about to and downloaded the mods for the game but never opened the game with the mods. I also reset/ wiped my whole PC so there shouldn’t be any residual downloads messing with it

All of which were to no avail. Does anyone else have this problem?

Big Update: So I started getting more errors on multiple games for example I got “steam error 51” on sniper elite. Ended up switching to a spare computer and now fallout works fine. I guess my problem is fixed but I feel bad for those of you who still can’t figure it out like me.

Edit: Other things to consider, using mods (in the past and/or present)? Continuing from and old save or new game? Can't remove mods and expected stability from previous saves.

The code xxx65432 supposedly means it is your anti-virus software blocking the game. Check there first.

If you wiped your entire PC you need to remember to replace all the important files like whitelists for virus scanners, DRIVERS, and the like... Never 'wipe your pc' like this, for a game, dude. That's a last-resort.

Try reinstalling the Visual C++ files.

im having this same problem and im using windows defenders. that's all i have and it still wont work if i turn it off

Then it's something else, I use Defender always on and never had a problem under Win10 with the game. I especially like the relatively quick Offline scan, which I use at every boot sequence (SSD Primary in my case).
