The X-01 armor is behind one leveled combat encounter to complete with two halves to find
Also even the T-51 is good enough to completely cakewalk the whole game
There is not a huge difference between even T-45 and X-02 in terms of how much damage you will typically take.
These Next Gen added suits though are really OP and it's stupid to make them available literally as you come out of the Vault. No concept of game balance whatsoever.
