Storage is infinite my guy
And with pack mule you can easily get +100 weight through strength, and you can choose either a companion or Lone Wanderer for +100 minimum capacity more
And on top of that you can get a Power Armor

Like what

With the Perks, Strong Back, you can add a lot of extra carry weight and even fast travel while encumbered. Or use action points to move normally.

There are also armor mods you can craft to expand carrying capacity.

player.modav carryweight 6000000

This is not starfield, storage is infinite in this game and they will not disappear unless you put it inside dungeon. They will get wipe after a certain amount of days. For backpack there are backpack mod in nexus. Use a robot mule for companion if you want to use it close to vanilla experience, they give the largest amount of carryweight.

If you just want temporary carryweight use

Player.setav carryweight xxxxx

Any STR modifier will reset back your carryweight including power armor, chem, clothing etc.

If you want it to be permanent use

Player.modav carryweight xxxxx

You are not supposed to grab everything you find dude. You aren't even supposed to loot all items from enemies. Picking what to grab and what to leave behind is part of the Fallout survival experience. Most of the time you don't need most of the stuff. Unless it is some great quality armor or weapon, you don't need it, even if you planned to sell it or give it to your settlers/raiders. A good rule of thumb for most of the game is 10 value per 1 weight, if it is lower, it is expendable. If it is junk you need, most of the heavier junk are either found/scrapped on the settlements or found by your scavengers. You only need to grab rare and crucial junk, like adhesive, oil, nuclear material, etc. Avoid getting steel/wood/concrete etc. Also you don't need to carry around a gazillion of weapons, 2-4 is usually ideal.

If you are afraid of losing money, don't be. Unless they are very expensive items per weight and you have maxed out your charisma and your cap collector perk, you are not leaving behind as much caps as you think you do. Also, get Fortune Finder and/or Scrounger instead, they allow you to always have tons of money and ammo, and you sell the ammo too.

I used to use the console to add carrying capacity when i began the game, but quickly i realized i don't need to cheat at all, it hardly provides good value. Unless someone has OCD.

strong back + power armor
also strength as a special makes a difference .... Also get out of the habit of keeping everything , store it all at a crafting bench and keep 3-4 weapons on you .

if all else fails keep some Buffout just so you can Fast travel as needed x

When I was Enclave power armor hunting, I was 2500 weight over my 500 limit.

There are perks that let you fast travel while over weight, and moving burns AP. Thats why I used the Quantum armor from Nuka World with its insane AP regen.

if you destroy power armor on dead enemies on the ground by hitting them, it reduces the weight down to 0, so you can repair and put it on a power armor frame later

There are some mods for crafting back packs. And perks to increase carry capacity. As well as having more strength.

But you're aware you can store items in the settlement work benches and in containers, right?

True, but then you have to weigh in the fact youre spending resources to pay for those repairs
