Ultrawide FULL SCREEN Mode (21:9, 3440 *1440) Low resolution issue (480P?)

After installing the new patch (actually, I simply download the game from steam as of today), when I launch the game, the resolution of the game comes out to something like 480p at full screen 21:9 (3440 *1440).
How can I fix this?
I am not install any Nexus mod at this moments.

I suggest using NVIDIA GeForce Experience to set the recommended optimal game settings first. Then use the game launcher settings to your preferred settings (and apply whatever in-game Options you want after that).

And of course, the ad nauseam recommendation: set Weapons Debris off (which GeForce Experience should do).

Update your graphics card drivers.
What did you set your graphics resolution on the game launcher?
What frame rate?
Using Nvidia app or Geforce Experience will simplify the in game settings.

Are you using Windows' High DPI Scaling? Is your desktop enlarged by 150% or 200%? If so then turn it off by setting it back to 100%. Windows tricks applications by giving them a false display resolution when you have this not at 100%.

You can also open the properties to Fallout4.exe and Fallout4Launcher.exe in the Steam folder, right-click them and open their Properties, then go to Compatibility and at the bottom can you set a High DPI Override. Set it for both to "Application". You can then keep using a scaled desktop and the game will receive the true display resolution.

I'm in the same boat. From what I can tell the launcher won't allow me to select 21:9 3440x1440 for my resolution so the screen appears stretched.

Once you have Windows' High DPI Scaling sorted out can one play the game fairly normally with ultrawide resolutions. The only major problem so far is with the character creation and people being unable to enter their names at start. Hence should one start a new game at 16:9 and once one has left the Vault can one switch back to ultrawide screen resolutions.

If this is not good enough, then there are mods, which have solved this rather nicely:
