New makeshift weapon : where are the ammo ?
So, i started a new game (because my old save was erased for no reasons).
I rushed the mission with the new weapons ( you know, the saw launcher, the baseball canon, nail pistol,...) But i only managed to buy a few ammo for them.
Its still low level (lvl 16) but i have already found more mini-nuke than saw blade ammo.
I was able to buy something like 6 nail to a merchant.
Did you have the same issue ? i would like to try them ( they look pretty cool) but even the better gun isnt a thing without ammo.

If you solved the quest it will spawn on some vendors in the next inventory update interval. But it will only be stuff like the baseballs, the 40mm frag grenades and nails in a totally tiny amount. Baseball ammo can be crafted out of baseballs at a chemstation if i remember right. The other stuff not. I have no precise informations, just that some youtubers said that there will be an update hopefully fixing that (no idea where they got that information from).

Im "glad" to learn im not the only one with this issue.
Well, thank for your answer :)

Yeah, small amounts of ammo will show up in vendors.
If you want more you have to console it in right now...

Doombringer, what do you mean by "console it"?
Have you discovered a way to fabricate it?
Just now the new 40mm grenades are not available at mine chemstations, only the baseball ammo.

You can always go back to Suggs for more ammo.

These weapons are stupidly OP. Ammo scarcity is the only balancing point they have. Don't use them as your main weapon. Reserve them for special situations and conserve their ammo.

I still havent tried them, so if they are really that strong ... few ammo could be a smart move to keep the game balanced.

I don't know if the bowling ball gun is new (I don't remember seeing it before?) but that comes with a crafting recipe though it seems a bit exorbitantly expensive, like 2 acid, a bowling ball (which ain't the most plentiful thing around in the first place) and something else to make 1 ammo.

I just shrugged and chucked it into my workshop storage. oh well. lol.

console commands are what I meant.
like player.additem xxxxxxxx #
The bowling ball gun was added in Far Harbor DLC.

Well if memory serves me right, for the bowling ball gun the bowling ball doesn't usually get consumed so if you manage to find it after shooting you can reuse the same ammo.

And if you have a double shot bowling ball gun you can generate infinite ammo.

I haven't even got far enough to try any of the new weapons, but has anyone tried to use the conveyor stuff to build new ammo for the new weapons?

Suggs is in Cambridge and has the ammo for the new stuff. He is about 2 blocks west of Greenetech, and about 3 blocks east of Campus Law Offices on that main east-west road. If you see a huge Nuka Cola sign over the road, you're in the right place. There is a beat-up road going north up the hill from the Nuka Cola sign. Suggs' garage is about a half-block up in an alley on the left. Unfortunately there is not a map marker, but those locations will get you there easily.

That should fill you up until you get your ammo factories running. I hope that is possible as well, but Suggs is very protective with his blueprints.

For the bowling ball gun (I haven't seen it) you can add the two-shot to any weapon using a console command, if you can't find that specific one with a two-shot. To be fair, I would wait until getting one with any legendary normally before changing it to two-shot legendary.

@kkits you really talk about the same machines that not even produce the offical DLCs Weapons ammo without fiddeling/mods? and you dream they get new recipes implemented when they only come from a cc?

Hey, it was a question. Once I get my maxed-out Gauss Rifle and Gatling Laser, everything else is just for giggles to me.
