update woe
wish it wasn't mandatory to update on steam. game is unplayable now. its hitchy AF and no longer optimized for older gaming machines. officially put on shelf and forget time.

There are guides how to rollback on nexus.
Also there is an app o Necus that automates the process.
Dont have the link handy but they eben linked here on steam a lot so you will find them with a little searching

There are good guides for downgrading and tricking Steam into keeping it that way. They are not hard to find. There are also guides that may help you get it playable after the update. It wants to run at 60 fps. This is more important than before. It should also be okay at 30.

OP was too lazy to browse the 2000 other threads that were made about this subject? OP is too lazy to simply revert to an older version? If OP put the game on shelf, why is he here complaining about it?

I think so. I also understand what happens when that adjective is modified by the adverb "officially". Like it is officially mandatory to have a driver's license if I want to drive a car, but unofficially I can get away with it as long as I don't get caught. This conversation is a bit silly, don't you think?

As far as I'm concerned, "officially mandatory" is an oxymoron. However; you have diagrammed the sentence(s) to figure out the adjective and adverb so I bow to your superior written language intellect. Take care.

2 ways to downgrade the game, side note. have a main fo4 folder then a modded copy.

I have blocked the update, but its still there saying update, when it should have been like the last update where you had to go and get it if you wanted it, I passed on it, and glad I did. Just wish this one had been the same.

imagine running 30 fps on a high end pc with a 144hz monitor. A lot of people are used to 60+ fps, going down to 30, will look laggy and choppy. We ain't console players, to play at ♥♥♥♥♥♥ 30 fps
