Disable mods?

I want to run a fresh run of fallout 4 with no mods so I can get some achievements. I have every mod disabled or uninstalled only a few remain in my library but I have no option for deleting them. Yet every time I start a new game it says mods are loaded and achievements will be disabled. How do I fix?

You need to edit the file in your Documents folder for Fallout 4 that enables mods and set that option to 0.

make sure you follow directions exactly. Had the same issue but I ended up missing something. Forget what it was honestly. but I can confirm it DOES work.

sorry. long day, im beat, and hazy....but i DID do you a solid and went back to look, so i can try to not leave you hanging. install manually, BUT go to the files tab, and make sure you download both the enabler AND the optional dll loader.

this is assuming that you are fully updated, therefore not using F4SE. The optional loader is required if you are not running F4SE. Thats what my problem was anyway.

let me add. the achievement enabler

How to install (MANUALLY)
Install my DLL Loader manually -OR- F4SE.
Copy the Plugins & F4SE folder to Fallout 4's Data folder.
NOT F4SE if you are not using it.

optional dll loader if your NOT using F4SE, (your game is fully updated on the current verion)
Required if not using F4SE.

Copy to root folder (where Fallout4.exe is).

beta for the newest game version? Im not sure then, didnt know theres been an update? Are you fully updated on your game, with the recent next gen patch? As far as I know the newest update broke f4se and there hasnt been an update for it as of yet.

if there IS, then im not sure. maybe its still not working properly? sorry if this is no help, this is just what got it working for me with the same issue.

You check if you have installed the mod correctly, when you start the game, save it and look at the save files ingame. There should not be the "M" in front of the save game name.

EDIT: perhaps uninstall and try installing manually instead of vortex. sometimes vortex does weird things and even though theres the option on nexus, you still have to do a manual install.

yeah, i had the same issue as OP after getting it on steam and wanting to replay through it with sim settlements 2. the (M) will also be by the save in this case, before the mod, but there will also be a warning on the bottom of the screen. Thats how I saw I f*cked it up.
